This is a beautiful renovated, modern arts space nestled on CUNY City College's campus. Another name for it is the Gatehouse, and has existed as Harlem Stage for the past 42 years. I've been to a couple of evening events there by subway and by car, respectively. I walked through a huge park bustling with families dining and enjoying the scenery, and up multiple landings of stairs (it's a good thing I do cardio several times a week) when I took the subway, but parking wasn't bad at all when I drove. I was a little concerned about walking back through the park to get back to the subway because it was almost 10 pm; I instead walked to 125th St eastbound to avoid any potential mishaps, but the neighborhood IS very nice.
