We could use better parks department support and a more noticeable neighborhood focused profile from the park (more events public art and West Harlem history and youth events/involvement) but the park that is a crossroads for students professionals, locals tourists and history buffs as well as public housing residents and residents of the surrounding historic Harlem enclaves remains one of the most romantic and well lakes out green spaces in the city in the mid/moderate acreage category. The topography and sun soaked great lawn as well as courts playgrounds geo structures and trails as well as early American land marks like Alexander Hamilton house and the nearby black owned businesses like bentas funeral home make the park in on the hill 8-9 blocks of uniquely west Harlem natural respite in the...

Nice to walk around in the summer, especially when the blackberry trees bloom and you can snack along the way. The north end featured to the Hamilton Grange house, which is cool to walk by. Downsides are it's not very accessible for strollers or wheelchairs (lots of stairs and no ramps from top to bottom) and it gets legit trashed like every night of the week when the weather is nice. The parks staff are really good about cleaning it up in the morning but man it's sometimes kind of depressing to see all...
