I did a nice walk across the bridge on a free tour with a park ranger. Great hearing the history of the bridge and how famous that bridge really is and what a resource it was to the community. And still is. So glad it was renovated in 2015. There are plaques on the floor that also tell some of the history if you want to learn a little on your own. You enter off University Ave. Some nice views from the bridge too. I'm sure they would have been better if I didn't go on a rainy day. This water tower was part of the reservoir that used to be where highbridge pool is now. It used to pump the water. So cool to see it still there after over 100 years.
