Had a late night craving for chimi and of course everything other than the super hip spots in harlem are closed by 11pm the spanish spots are out by 9 or 10 unless you’re willing to pay the outrageous delivery fees and the taxes those apps charge it’s beyond insane🤦🏻‍♀️ any who he hopped in a lyft share $4 and went to chimi luisa. Best chimi I have had in nyc period and if you want to fight me on it TRY ME!! Served out of a white food truck near the park on W176 and Amsterdam you can find a few items for digestion. Came for a chicken chimi and it was ok. I added a chinola or passion fruit juice which was straight artificial flavoring and sugar; you could taste it on your tongue bleh. The chicken was seasoned nice but the texture was strange; the bread was as it should be, crispy, flat, and toasted; the sauce tangy but the toppings were missing/lacking which made the sandwich fall apart.
