UNFORTUNATELY, AFTER I WAS IN THIS NEW STORE FOR ONLY 5 MINUTES, I WAS GREETED BY THE AFRICAN SECURITY GUARD AND ASKED IF HE COULD HELP ME WITH ANYTHING... I COUNTERED WITH, “DOES MY PRESENCE HERE CAUSE YOU TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE? WHY ARE YOU ONLY FOLLOWING ME AROUND THE STORE? DID I GIVE YOU ANY INDICATION THAT I WAS HERE TO STEAL? THIS IS A NEW STORE RIGHT? IS IT A CRIME TO CHECK OUT THIS STORE, BECAUSE I WILL LEAVE IF I AM NOT WELCOMED HERE.”

I have shopped here regularly for two years. The store is clean and has most things you'd need, so in that way, it get the job done. However, a few things really bother me about this place. First off, the prices are very expensive. Sure, that should be expected at a small upscale grocer in Brooklyn. What really bothers me however, is that their price labels are extremely inconsistent. I will regularly look to check the price of something and find that there is no label for reference. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt, that it must be a pain to constantly maintain and update tags. But after two years of this, it honestly seems purposeful and pernicious. Second, the produce is honestly not very good and pretty limited. And third, no one seems happy to be there, so I question the quality of the work environment.
