Saw their good reviews so I wanted to give them a try, called to make the appointment at 1:00pm today and asked how long is a gel pedicure gonna take , the lady told me around one hour, so I made the appointment at 1:00pm , when I get there I asked if they have time for a spa pedi because I donât want to delay them if they have appointments after me, they said the have time so I opted for a green tea spa pedi with 10min massage and gel color, the total was $70 and I was done less than 40mins, realistically 35min, I already had my shoes on at 1:38pm, never have I had a spa pedi thatâs under one hour. I was at the check out at 1:42pm ,I was extremely disappointed so I asked the lady at the front how long does a gel pedi take, she told me an hour and I asked her why is my spa pedi +gel color less than 40min , she had to think about it and said it takes around 30mins to one hour⌠why would I even bother to get a spa pedi if they are under an hour. Edit: If you are hinting that the lady who did my pedi today is a master tech, then she did not give me a professional service, she started off by filing off my gel color all the way to my nail beds without soaking it in the acetone , that just speeds up the process but itâs very damaging for my nails, all the other places I went to have always only file off some layers then soak it in the acetone. Secondly she never gave me the paraffin treatment for heels that you mentioned, lastly the 10mins massages, she started the timer and got up to greet a walk-in which is unfair to my time. The whole interaction feels so rushed and it was not even 45mins like you said, from the time I picked out the color and had my shoes on was under 40mins, I think that is rushed for a spa pedi whether itâs a...
Read moreSaturday is my first time going here. Had a 9am appt, along with about 12 other people. It's a small salon, so it felt really full. All of the techs were ON POINT taking care of everyone. My nail tech was Maggie. She is really sweet, but she really shines while she's working. She is FANTASTIC. She is quietly confident about her skills. Fast and meticulous. My ombre dip powder is PERFECT. Already made my next appt.
Had a spa pedi with Vicky. The leg and foot scrub was heavenly along with the massage. She was thorough and meticulous with cuticles. I didn't get any polish because it's winter and my feet atr always covered anyway, so can't speak to that. But I am EXTREMELY happy that my feet feel like 6 months old instead of 50 đ.
I have spent the last 6 month bouncing around NE Queens from one nail place to another settling for adequate mani/pedis and never feeling great about them. I have FINALLY found "my" new place. LOVE ITâ¤
3/23/22 update
Maggie is flippin' fantastic! She helps me find colors when trying to match something I saw on pintrest, makes GREAT recommendations on designs, and still is so damn fast while execution is perfect.
Also since it's warm enough for me to wear flip-flops, I've been getting my toes painted after my pedis with Vicky. I'm totally not surprised that she is damn good at it.
I LOVE coming here to spend money locally on well deserved talented professionals. This...
Read moreAfter being a loyal customer at Liz Nails for over 7 years, Iâm truly disgusted by how I was recently treated. I was denied service because, according to the staff, I âstressed Ciciâ by requesting stiletto-shaped nails, completely normal and common shape that any experienced nail tech should be comfortable doing.
Whatâs even more upsetting is the way Cici consistently behaved toward me. After finishing my nails, she would just get up and walk away without even saying a word, not even a simple âIâm done.â I was left sitting there feeling invisible and disrespected. Itâs the bare minimum to treat clients like actual people, especially long-time ones.
To make matters worse, I used Google Translate during one of my visits and discovered the staff were speaking inappropriately and unprofessionally not only about me, but about other customers as well. It was shocking and completely unacceptable.
And while the salon plays Christian music, the way they treat people is anything but Christlike. Thereâs a big difference between the music you play and the way you carry yourself and that disconnect was painfully clear.
If you want better service, more affordable prices, and technicians who treat you with kindness, respect, and a smile,I highly recommend Swizzy Beauty Bar They do a better job and they make you feel...
