Mar-Pat Wines & Liquors Inc — Local services in New York

So full disclosure Total Wines and More is our go to spot for wine, liqour and beer. However, we live in Queens and cannot always get out there to shop. Lately, there has been a line around the building to get in, understandably, but that is annoying.

Mar-Pat is a fairly priced option with a good selection and friendly staff. In fact it was here that I discovered Ron Barcelo rum for the first time and couldn't be happier. Another plus is they have white wine that people want to drink cold and ready to drink. This is a shortcoming at a lot of liquor stores which I find disappointing.

So if we aren't on Long Island but want a few bottles of wine that are fairly priced and cold, this is an excellent option. Plus they have a parking lot, which in Queens...

When you're not sure what to bring to your next event, go here. The staff is very knowledgeable and will help you figure out what the best wine, aperitif, or hard liquor you should bring to the party. You might be a bit overwhelmed with their selection and the rows upon rows of wine, but you will not be disappointed. Overall, one of the best liquor stores in the area and their prices are hard to match. That's why I come back, time after time. ...

This is my local go-to place. Decent wine selection and decent prices. The staff varies, but a couple of guys know the product well and can make suggestions. The cashier could be friendlier for all the times I've been there. They usually have tastings on Friday nights.
