Greetings,
I'm writing this letter to express my Sincerest gratitude for your agencies assistance in going above and beyond to find a way for my Father to receive continued physical and occupational therapy under your care. My Father is a FIVE TIME CANCER SURVIVOR who had his most difficult struggle with Covid 19 and recovering his physical and emotional strength. After leaving Riverside Rehabilitation prematurely because he was showing great improvement, his motivation and physical mobility lost momentum in waiting to receive physical therapy at home. After being evacuated August 5th. we waited for the insurance to approve further visits. We were told August 17th the insurance approved 4 home visits, but there were not enough Physical Therapist to go around and my Father was suffering for this. He had a few follow up visits with his doctors that were difficult for him because of lack of movement as well as his endurance. We finally received attention August 28th from Physical therapist Lynn Schwab from N.Y. Therapy and wellness notifying me she was assigned my Dad's care and wanted to know what were our goals for recovery. I expressed my concern of lack of physical activity and that he would need to be able to climb 3 floors, 32steps to get to his apt. when necessary. She understood my concern and from her 1st visit came strait to work with him. I was impressed with her knowledge of which exercises my Father needed to deal with his lower back pain as well as the energy she gives out to motive him to get on his feet and walk our hallway, and even go down one flight of stairs to see his range of movement and pain threshold. I noticed an immediate change in my Father's attitude to wanting to get back on his feet and find mobility again. Every visit we had with Lynn was beneficial to my Father's physical health as well as mental/emotional by motivating him to continue to be active. I'm sharing this with you to express how important it is for my...
Read moreAlison began providing in home occupational therapy services for my mother, shortly after she was discharged from a rehabilitation facility following a hip fracture in the fall of 2023. Later, Alison also began providing occupational therapy services for my father, who has advanced Parkinson’s Disease.
During the time she has worked with my parents, Alison has demonstrated an ideal blend of warmth and professionalism. She has consistently encouraged my parents to work towards achieving all of their occupational therapy goals while never pushing them to the point of frustration or fatigue. Her positive and confident demeanor have helped motivate both of my parents to accomplish goals they did not think were within their reach. She is also flexible in her approach and modifies the strategies used to achieve the therapy goals based on factors such as fatigue, pain, etc.
She has always provided exercises for my parents to do in between therapy sessions and as their current allotted sessions have now ended, she has provided additional exercises for them to do until they are eligible to resume services with her in January of 2026.
When she became concerned about my mother’s elevated blood pressure level, she reached out to both me and my mother’s PCP and the situation was resolved.
Alison has taken a genuine interest in my parents’ lives, beyond their occupational therapy goals and they look forward to exchanging stories and photos with her.
I believe Alison is a highly qualified occupational therapist and she is a strong asset to New York Therapy and Wellness-Physical and Occupational Therapy. She has provided outstanding OT services for both...
Read moreHands down the BEST physical therapy team on the planet — Andrew, Diana, and Alexandra are absolute game-changers!
I came to PT Spot after ACL reconstruction, and I can say with full confidence — these three have changed my recovery and my mindset forever. From day one, Andrew Liu was laser-focused, sharp, and beyond knowledgeable. The man knows knees like Einstein knew physics. Every session with him feels like a masterclass in rebuilding strength, mobility, and confidence. He pushes you just enough to break barriers, but always with care and precision.
Then there’s Diana Fiore — the definition of positivity and encouragement. She brings this uplifting energy that makes even the toughest rehab days feel achievable. She keeps things fun but serious when it matters, and she genuinely cares about how you feel mentally and physically.
And Alexandra (Alex)? She ties it all together with that extra level of attention and professionalism that makes PT Spot feel more like a community than a clinic. She’s patient, detail-oriented, and somehow remembers every little milestone you’ve hit — even the ones you forget yourself.
This isn’t just a physical therapy office — it’s a powerhouse of motivation, recovery, and results. My knee has gone from stiff and uncertain to strong, stable, and confident, and I owe it all to these three incredible people.
If you want a team that actually cares, that pushes you to be better, and that celebrates every win with you — PT Spot with Andrew, Diana, and Alexandra is the only place you should be.
Trust me — they don’t just help you recover, they help you come back stronger...
