this is a new york city institution. it is becoming harder and harder to find local businesses to support when living/traveling in new york. philip william's posters is THE store you take your out-of-town family, friends, and acquaintances to when you're trying to impress them.
philip is the most kind-hearted, informative, and genuine person. if you have the opportunity, you need to visit this place--not just because it's the largest personal collection of vintage posters for sale in the world, but because philip himself cares deeply about his inventory. he can tell you anything about any one of the posters he has. he is truly a wonderful soul and someone i very much look up to.
i hope that if you're reading this, you can find as much joy as i have over the years in philip's...

Pricing of the posters is really good too for the originality and quality that you are getting. The owner has been doing this for over 40 years and he knows exactly what to have in store. Very kind, worldly individual as well. I plan to come back to decorate my apartment from floor to ceiling with large posters :D Highly recommended looking online if you’re looking for something specific, you can really filter to the T, countries, languages, movies, decades,...
