Avalon Yacht in New Years eve The biggest disappointment I've ever experienced. They promised something unique, but the outcome was terrible. The boat felt like a shack, with water leaking from the ceilings everywhere. There were VIP areas, but no one informed us during the booking. The food was awful—I couldn't eat anything. The drinks were minimal, and there was no wine as advertised, even though specific brands were mentioned. The service was terrible. The staff showed no care for the guests, not even when we asked for access to the Wi-Fi password to call an Uber. We were left stranded on the street. I must emphasize that the tickets explicitly stated Wi-Fi access would be provided—another lie.
The music was awful and deafening. There wasn’t even a DJ, just someone playing random tracks. The space was rudimentary, dirty, uncomfortable, and poorly maintained. The food was terrible. Everything was disorganized.
The only saving grace was being able to go on deck and admire the beautiful city—nothing else!

Read moreIf you're planning a trip and don't have daddy's credit card in your gucci purse do not book with the Jewel Yacht. Firstly we were asked to move which i refused, then we got our table taken away because those buying $400 bottles of champagne had priority over us even though we had got there first. The female member of staff said she had priority because she bought a bottle so we had to just deal with it. The same member of staff pushed her way through the toilet queue saying she had priority. We were treated like bottom deck on the titanic and then to top it off the richest of the lot were ushered to the front of the boat for the fireworks display whilst the rest of us were shouting to turm the boat a little bit so we could see it. We were abused, treated like dirt and left feeling very disappointed. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Oh and to the staff member in the dark green dress. Next time you go to work to carry champagne bottles above your head to the privileged...shave under your arms, that along with your attitude...
Read moreOk so this was my first. I bought tickets on gold star which was ok for $43 total for two tickets. The cruise was supposed to be a reggae party. NOT.....As a Jamaican if i see ad for Reggae I expect that to be mostly what's played. Maybe 6 regaee songs in 3 hrs really!!!!! Next the drinks were ridiculously priced. The smallest plastic cup like you would use to rinse your mouth in the dentist chair was sold with rum punch full of ice was $17. The food was disgusting as well. Soft wrapTacos just slapped in a plastic container with a pile of cucumbers radish and cilantro. No condiments or extra like cheese nor sour cream lettuce or tomatoes. What kind of taco is that??? That was the only choice of food for $20 totally horrible. We threw it away $40 wasted.. I stayed on lower deck and it was hot as heck, no a/c. It took about 2 hours in for the music to start to sound ok but then we are back to the port. I'll never do this again. Sad because I went with my girlfriend as a late bday hang out. She was not...
