South Slope Dog Run — Attraction in New York

It's pretty small, but it's big enough for dogs to run around. There's a trash receptacle for all kinds of wastes, and a couple of picnic benches under the trees for people to hang out. A majority of the area is full of sand, so it gets dusty. There's some plants in the perimeter of the dog run, but it's not maintained and they grow pretty tall. There's also no water fountain available, so you'll have to bring your own water for your dog. It's pretty clean though, and there's a couple of balls left behind that...

Be ready for a dusty experience!

I stayed nearby with my dog, so the location was very convenient. I even noticed a park employee picking up trash, which shows that the park is maintained. While it’s on the smaller side, there’s still enough room for several dogs to run around and play together.

The ground is all dirt and dust, so expect you and your furry friend to get dusty pretty quickly. With the dogs running, the dust gets kicked up into the air, so just something to keep in mind...

Didnt really like it. Its off a busy street. Which just makes me nervous in case a dog ever gets out, theyd run right into traffic. They do have dirt and some grass but no water fountain for dogs so you would have to bring your own water. I had a situation at this park where two people brought toy agressive dogs in and my dog got bit. Not really bad so i didnt make a fuss.
