Last year I had created a "book style" calendar to be use laying flat on my desk (photo on the left page & calendar on the right). This is not a current "calendar" style offering. (I wish it was since the only current desk calendar is a "tent" type that sits upright on the desk.) The design software allowed me to rotate my images & the calendar page so I submitted the order.
There was a problem with the non-standard design and I received a call from Customer Service about the issue - a gentleman (Jack) overhead the conversation and had remembered that he had printed a similar order a year ago and he could honor my design request - even thought it may be something they could include as a standard product offering.
That evening (a few hours later) Jack called me back saying that my desk-style calendar had been printed and was shipping out! That follow-up call demonstrates how much the people at Printique care about their customers.
So, 2021 - I created the same design and knew there would possibly be an issue so I called Customer service and ask how I could add “special instructions.” As it turns out the person I was speaking to was Jack. He immediately remembered the order from a year ago and knew how I wanted the calendar printed.
He said, “just give me the order number and I will take care of it.” Jack is a very special person, fully understands the processes at Printique and definitely cares about customers!
I have used Printique many times before and the quality, attention to detail, turn-around time & packaging has always been outstanding - and this particular order is an example of their really great customer service! Jack certainly is an example of the quality people working at Printique.
Happy Holidays to everyone...
Read moreAfter research about various online photo printing companies, I decided to use Printique for the photo album printing. I chose the hardcover albums with luster paper (classic heavy). Pros: Photos came out beautifully. I was worried about some online comments like "some parts of body being cut". It didn't happen to mine. Colour is true to the pictures. (I did not select colour corrections by Printique.) The album feels heavy and sturdy The online editor is very user-friendly. I don't know anything about photos and I could manage it. The layout templates are more variety and more beautiful than other online printing companies. It makes the whole printing look more professional. The production and shipping is super fast. I ordered on the 26th evening and I received it in Canada on the 28th morning (less than 2 days for cross-border shipping) Cons: The white box that came with the album is cheap and flimsy. It's just thin paper box like for the cookies/snack packaging. And it is generic size box (not a perfect fit for the album). It can't be used as the protector for the album. I wish the box can be fit to the album size so I can store the album in it. Shipping cost is quite expensive for Canada addresses. Yes it is super fast. But I wish it can provide more affordable shipping options like ground shipping or something to save me a few bucks. After several uses (maybe flipped the book for 5 times or so?), the cover starts to have an obvious mark for the folds already. It looks like a very thin flim that's on the cover starts to separate from the layer...
Read moreIn my considerable experience as a lifelong serious amateur photographer, Printique’s and Jack Peter’s performance is extraordinary. I recommend them without reservation. When my wife passed away in June, I ordered a large framed portrait of her, a photo book, and more than a hundred mounted prints in several different sizes and formats, some mounted on heavy backings, some mounted on wood, all for the various gatherings and all time critical. Their performance was outstanding. The quality of their work was superb and they provided everything before the time it was needed. Their recent work for me has included a framed custom enlargement which they provided promptly and flawlessly. After they delivered it to me, I discovered that the print I submitted to them had a defect. I contacted them and, without criticism or complaint, they reprinted and reframed the corrected print promptly, flawlessly, and without charge. Two weeks ago, I asked Jack whether they could provide B&W prints from rolls of 35mm negatives from Tri-X film I shot with my Kodak Retina IIa in the 1950s. He replied immediately with “bad news and good news.” The bad news--Printique does not do analog processing. The good news--Jack referred me to a shop that has been in business for 35 years and continues to provide a broad range of analog services. So, Printique is tops! No one could...
