Brooklyn Editions, Stephen Gross is in my opinion the best professional printing service I have encountered in many years as a mixed media and visual artist.

I was researching printers near to me in Brooklyn and selected Brooklyn Editions.

Upon reaching out to Stephen he responded almost immediately, and we scheduled a consultation to print my work soon after.

Re: (process to book print job) We communicated about the project immediately electronically (via email) before scheduling a meeting in person, which made the job go much smoother since we prepared files and discussed expectations. At first I was thinking I would go see a test print and make a decision....

Re: (this print job in person) I brought a special project to him (a photograph of my painting that I needed to print on quality paper) that is near and dear to me. He answered all my questions and concerns and also educated me on the best fit for my request.

He helped me to choose the perfect paper for my request to bring out the details and colors of my work, and I walked out with my print the same day of my consultation. I was pleased with the test print and the final print. Something important you should know, he provides a test print first to show you what you’ll be paying for. Not many companies will do that, in fact he is the first that has done that for me and it gave me more confidence in this new project to show my paintings texture and colors in a print.

The quality, professionalism, courtesy, patience, and knowledge of Brooklyn Editions has me planning to return for more of my printing needs in near future! I have found a new go to!

My experience working with Stephen was one of the best I have ever had with an independent artist. I found him through a general search online when looking for someone to help me print a copy of a painting that I had created onto canvas and have the piece stretched onto a board. I was in a bit of a time crunch with the holidays around the corner and Stephen fit me into a spot the same day I contacted him.

Stephen went above and beyond on the project often working to fix things up purely because he wanted it to look its best.

He helped with all aspects including not only working on two different print-outs when I asked (last minute) to do a second version, but went above and beyond by literally helping me step-by-step to set up my own scanner after business hours had ended, working under a time crunch, assisting me on my photoshop/editing solely because he wanted the piece to look the best it could be because he could see how passionate I was about it, and then after everything was said and done with the artwork itself, helped me to package the piece for shipping AS WELL AS an unrelated piece I was also sending that he had not worked on, so that both would arrive at their destination unbruised and in perfect condition (which they did).

While I did end up spending more money than I had originally intended, he rendered a lot of services for free, and helped me to save money in ways where I could (using my own scanner, etc) because he knew of my budget constraints.

Stephen is personable, genuine, covid-conscious, easy-going and wonderful to work with and more than willing to go above and beyond. I spent a lot of time working next to him (or watching him work), and he was really great at explaining everything he was doing as he went, and answering any questions that I had. I am an artist who worked with Brooklyn Editions for a project in which I had to supply a luxury hotel in Saudi Arabia with 264 prints of my artwork.

I worked with Stephen and Maya and was blown away by their level of professionalism, commitment to excellence, respect, appreciation and knowledge of art, AND amazing quality prints. Plus they were fun, down to earth, and offered us snacks. :)

I had previously attempted to work with a different print company for this project and the quality was not there. The print maker insisted that the medium of my work was the problem, and that it was impossible to print the colors accurately. Enter BK Editions who printed perfectly accurate colored and textured prints, the FIRST time. Even the proofs were phenomenal!

I needed the paper to be thick enough to embellish the prints prior to being framed. Stephen and Maya helped me choose the best quality paper. It worked perfectly for embellishing! Everything was completed in such a timely manner and their courier dropped the prints off to my studio as they were ready. Such a swift and easy process. Most importantly, my Saudi client is pleased!
