St. Mary's Recreation Center — Attraction in New York

Overall it was cool accept the lady Patricia seemed very interested in if my children had the same dad or not. She didn't blatantly come out and ask but it was very apparent. My children look different although they both have the same mom and dad, it's (genetics) but ignorance just gets under my skin especially from an adult and woman of color. She also on more than one occasion made a snide remark about my child's weight. I couldn't understand what any of this had to do with her doing her job. No matter your position or education you cannot teach people coife, I stopped bringing my children because it made them uncomfortable and it made me want to cuss her out. The recreation center is supposed to be a place to interact and have fun not be picked apart or...

Excellent full service recreational center...An iconic community meeting place where all are acccepted. It may not be perfect and in need of upgrade, but then so does some our our attitudes. I am a 69 year old man who has been going to the park as well as Recreational Center...at St. Mary's. In fact, I was there before the park, as most of you know it, was there. I am exceedingly Blessed and have traveled extensively. Especially throughout N.Y.C. . That includes most NYC Parks and Recreational Centers. I am a lifelong health enthusiast an utilize there facilities citywide. I am a sbsolute beast. St. Mary's is second to none with regard to availability...

I'm giving a five-star because when my children were growing up we stayed at St Mary's we went to family swim night through the winter the summer whenever there was family night we were there and now I'm taking my grandsons and as soon as I can I'm going to be taking my great grand daughter to the pool that's what we got our most enjoyment , also they have other things going on they had a cooking group one time which was excellent and have martial arts program I don't know if they still have it but that was a good one plus all the other things they have I love this place and the workers...
