This is a place I've heard about for awhile as one of the few decent pizza options in the Bronx outside of Arthur Ave. It is owned by the same people as Gaby's in Hollis Queens, and serves a similar pie. Gaby's is a very polarizing place, and thus I expected more of that here. While I can definitely see the relation, this place was a much simpler verdict. To me, it just doesn't quite stand up. We ordered a pie to be delivered to our office. Granted we're a 10-15 drive, but what we got was not anything exceptional. First off the crust was underdone, which combined with the steaming in the box left the pizza quite soggy. The sauce was very sweet--just like Gaby's--but the cheese was good even though it was applied with a heavy hand. Nobody who tried it thought it was anything above average, and I agree. It was edible NY style pizza--no more. Would I try it again? Only by the slice and in person. While this is good for the Bronx, I'm better off driving down Hunts Point Avenue to pick up...
Read moreThis review isn't about the food itself. Although, it's not the best pizza I have ever had, it wasn't the worse either. The 1 star review is because of the rude customer service I received from one of the people working. The man was yelling for me to come get my 2 pepperoni slices, but I couldn't hear him because I have hearing loss in one of my ears. Not to mention, it is Friday, the school across the street lets out early and therefore, it was a lot of people in there so it was quite loud. Lots of background noise. I apologized to him for not hearing him, he throws insults at me in Spanish, when he took my order in English. Guess what: the so called inconsequential Black woman may can't speak Spanish, but I understand it because I have Spanish speaking members in my family. If you got something to say, don't be a coward. Say it directly to me - like a real man! Anyway - one star for horrible customer service. And don't judge a book by its cover - you never know the knowledge that someone...
Read moreWe get order from Fresca before they change the name. Good pizza and pepperoni rolls however I am very disappointed on today's delivery. I order a pie half cheese, half pepperoni. Order came in with only cheese. The woman that answer was apologetic and said they were going to send a new pie between 10 to 15 min. Pizza arrived 50 minutes later. Once I checked the pie was a mess. Cheese all over. Pepperoni and sauce all over as well. I called and again the same women picked up. She was nice. I complained about the way the pizza was and told her the driver missed handle the pie. She said it was the owner itself that delivered. Really?? She said once the owner comes he will be calling. I am still waiting for a call... I usually dont write reviews but it is not good customer service. I know since i...
