Mexicocina Mezcaleria — Restaurant in New York

Food is good but the delivery game is HORRIBLE. My job and I have ordered several times from this restaurant and something is Always missing. Especially since we only have 50 min for lunch, the restaurant always seem to act with no care and think it is okay to deliver orders separately. The manager is apparently never there. I called two weeks ago, said manager on vacation. Then last week I was told manager is not there. I called today and was told a manager isn’t there till Friday. So now my concern for this restaurant is who is running the customer service situation if there is no manager to talk to? I am just tired of this restaurant constantly making our lunch time complicated and taking a chance every time we order from them. Truly the worst part is before writing reviews I like to talk to the restaurant to address my situation but with no one around to talk to, I am left here upset, unsatisfied an disappointed. My work place has agreed as a unison that this is our LAST time ordering delivery from here. That is about 14 customers that will not order delivery from this place due to the amount of error and lack of proper customer service. Maybe if we get lucky to go eat at the restaurant the in-person service will outshine...

I ordered here through ubereats for lunch. Online there is not option to order birria tostadas , only birria tacos with birria soup. I called the restaurant to inquire about instead of tacos getting tostadas with the birria soup. I spoke with the manager and was told to put Tostadas not tacos in the notes. Not once was I informed of a surcharge or anything like that. Upon delivery there was no consume ( birria soup) I called the restaurant and this is when the manager ( the same man I originally spoke to told me about surcharges and things of that nature. This makes no sense because 1. He could have told me this during out first phone conversation 2. If i ordered wings with fries and got boneless wings instead, my order would still come with the fries, not matter this type of substitution. In no way was this manager apologetic just argumentative. He also hung up on me, and when I immediately called back he said he did not hang up but there was another call which he never said "one moment I have another call" he simply hung up on me because he was wrong. I am very disappointed in the service that I have received lately. The last time I ordered for pickup, I waited 50 minutes after arriving to the store 20mins after my order was placed, like the guy on the phone told me. About 2-3 weeks ago I ordered a delivery, because I wanted to avoid the same situation. The gentleman on the phone told me that because of the distance, 1 mile, I would have to place a minimum order of $20. We ended up placing an order or $30 something dollars and the order came at the expect time. I just tried to place the same order and whoever answered the phone first called me a liar saying that they don't deliver this far, and when I provided the proof of the delivery with the phone number, he stated that he still wouldn't deliver. When I asked what the problem was, he stated that the only way he would send a delivery is if the order was over $50. I've been a loyal customer for almost 5 years always spending over $20.
