Sternberg Park Dog Run — Attraction in New York

I wish this park was more maintained. Always run into issues with lots of flooding in the park area and have heard stories of disease being spread via standing water here. The ground cover is also eroding and dogs have taken to chewing and pulling on the fabric underneath. This park is neglected and it’s a shame. There is even a really nice, new, huge turf field that was recently installed in the park — but this dog run has not been offered the same care by the parks department. My boyfriend and I used to take his dog to this park all the time. With it being close to his apartment, it was perfect. But the conditions at the park are going downhill fast. It was so frustrating when I dog sat for him, and i wasn’t able to take him to this park in fear that he would get sick. Please do something about this dog park.
