I've been followed by stock workers while shopping. But when you ask for where something is they may use the excuse that they don't speak English or they just don't know or send you to an aisle where the item, you're asking for is not. On one random occasion, while I was actively looking at the products to see which one I was going to put in my cart. A worker came and asked if I need help finding something. I was truly confused because I already found it, just choosing between a item and another. Then that worker followed me to another aisle and stopped after that one aisle. I understand that they may have experienced other people stealing, so I don't know if their on edge or something. But my husband and I provide for our household and have spent a disgustingly amount collectively in that place, their covert suspicion is simply annoying. You will get scammed by prices at times. It'll show a 1-3dollar less on the shelve than when it rings up. There's been countless times where I have to correct the pricing at the checkout. And hold up the line and hold up my time, because they have to go back and check it, (at least they do that though). It's like you got to take pictures of each item that you're buying now! just to make sure that it aligns at checkout. Also I've bought food that was up to date but when opened it was rancid. Then I started seeing food that was visibly expired or out of date on the shelf. Be careful when shopping here, look at everything closely. Also the smell can be unbearable from the the meat section, I hold my breathe and walk fast. When passing that section. I wouldn't trust the meat just for that very reason. Cause a jar of pickles, yogurt, baked goods, produce can be bypassed easy for mold.(By the way for the top shelf food, I find the lights are bringing the temperature down to be warm for the food that supposed to be cold (dairy). Definitely evident for the yogurt I noticed. And the ice cream can taste old (freezer burn). Hopefully the meat can be the one thing that's up to date. But I'll never trust it. I get everything somewhere else now and I only come here for the cut up fruit. I get in and out. I can no longer just shop. But that's going to change because I spend too much to be looked at like a thief. I've met the manager Ray when I first started shopping at this store. He seems reasonable and respectful but it's not aligning with the treatment from its workers on the sales floor. Only go here if you simply have to. But honestly there is other groceries, markets on every block for better price and unspoiled food. Stay...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went late night for milk for my 2 year old son. I had one milk left from my WIC which was a quart. When I went to go on the line I saw there was a lot of people with A lot of groceries and no one in 10 items an less. I understand the sign ā10 items and less NO WICā but all I had was a quart and I needed to get home to my son. I kindly ask the staff if I could process the WIC on the 10 items and less line. And explain to her why, she clearly told me Twice NO. I asked to speak to someone in manangement and she told me there was no one available come another day. When running a franchise there should always be management on call. If I had my wallet on me I would of just paid for it but I walked all the way from my house just to get the last quart I had of milk on my WIC. She could of let me just process my transaction without a problem. Instead she gave me a hard time and I left with nothing. I always come to this food bazaar and I am very disappointed. The way I was handle and management not being present was unprofessional. Some of the woman there are rude to begin with. Instead of catching a case I would prefer to take a Uber to The Fresh Market in grand street then catch a case in this food bazzar. Improve your management and hire better staff. As a customer who always shops here I shouldnāt have had to wait on a long line for a quart of milk. When there was clearly no one in the other 4 registers. And honestly itās not even about the wait.. it was more of common sense thereās 5 people in front of me with a whole grocery in their cart. And all I had was one small milk I could of been process without a problem and on my way. I will never process my WIC here again. And I will be contacting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis supermarket is my EVERYTHING! First: This supermarket get really pack with people, but the wait time is not too bad. They have system get you and groceries out the door, so if you don't have no patience, then find another store. Second: This supermarket has almost everything you could need. Its has about three aisles dedicated to international foods. I have found and purchased Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Italian foods and snacks. They a huge section dedicated to dairy products(this area is my heaven). If you're vegan there's another small section in the store for vegan dairy and meats(like cold cuts and sausages). Other place in the store have more vegan options, you just going have take your shopping cart on a little stroll around the store. Thrid: The meat sold here is fresh. I am not going lied, the produce aisle could use a little more work, I've seen couple fruits that were not so great and should have been in a bargain ban. They sell beer and wine there. The have a small bakery, fish, and deli counters. The also sell little things like pan, microwaves, and miscellaneous things. Last: The supermarket has a Costco wholesale feel and decor. The staff is so friendly, the cashier are knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are pretty fair. You can go online and check out their flyer for the week, but the in store flyer has more sells. I really do love this supermarket, best...
