I'm going to be honest. I don't like to leave bad reviews. Most of my reviews have been positive and I usually try to give 5 stars for people or companies I have done business with.
My family and I have been loyal customer of Stop and Shop in Bayside for 10+ years. I usually shop on weekdays and this was one of the few times I went on Sunday. I didn't realize it was closed at 10 pm. I was almost done shopping when one of the staff members told me the shop was closed. I was almost done and was trying to motion and ask if I could just grab one item and check out. But the staff member screamed at me, "NO. GET OUT. RIGHT NOW." I left, but this Stop and Shop location just lost a loyal customer.
I get that it's getting late and they wanted to close shop and let the staff go home, but that was extremely rude and unnecessary. If he had just kindly explained the shop was closing and as much as he wanted to let me finish, the staff members are tired and already going home and that I can come back the other day, I would have gladly smiled and said okay, I understand and leave.
I didn't get their name, and maybe this was a one-time thing and the person was having a bad day. And I can sympathize with that. But this attitude can and will cost customers. Best of luck to the location and the friendlier, more helpful staff whom I love and have no qualms with, but I will not be coming back here and neither will the rest of my family after discussing...
Read moreIt was a strange occurrence to see in front of the Bay Terrace shopping mall 1957 Fairlane parked outside with the windows rolled down very interesting attraction I would say so I took some pictures and posted it well shopping stop again shop and stop is shopping stop it's a grocery store again it depends on your personal preferences the sales at the store and how much you like the way you're treated when you get there by the people who may have to wait on you either by finding something for you in the store all the people who are checking you out or a question you may have for the manager or by calling the store for pick up how good do they do that it all depends on your personal preference again grocery stores are not person specific so it's hard to say I find shop and stop to be a very good place to shop but I also find shop and stop a place that is neighborhood specific meaning that the more larger stores are in the more larger more affluent neighborhoods and the smaller stores that are basically having great difficulties with management and getting help are usually in the areas of indigenous people so where you shop at a shop and stop is very important in regards to its size what they have in them how the people treat you when you get there and in general how the parking lot is kept I've seen some shopping stops and very small areas that the parking lot is very uninviting filthy and you know basically under...
Read moreOne of the most busiest grocery supermarkets in the area. And while most of the time ( 90%) everyone is friendly and helpful , during Covid and during busy shopping times, No one pays attention to the arrows on the floor for Covid. Sometimes we as customers have to remind others , but we also will help each other out, for something to tall or too low to get to. And while I'm avg height of 6 feet there are others that are up to a foot shorter who can't reach those hard to get items on the top shelving units. In Example the dishwashing soap with lemon pods were on the top shelves making it very hard for many to get. understanding that not everything can be on the middle shelf , it might be nice to keep some down lower for all to get. Ex Cascade with lemon scent/ lemon odor , is one that flies off the shelf but still always the one in the top shelving unit area.
Just if the managers can play the arrows and the space between customers, I find that it actually might be needed to say in mandarin or chinese, bc many don't understand the distant and not being right behind you. It almost feels like i might be cheating somehow. when i'm not, and respect you all for being there as essential workers, so that we all could be there for our...
