I am appalled by the experience I had at your Bayside location. For a company valued at nearly $100 billion, the way this situation was handled was not only unprofessional but also deeply disrespectful to returning customers.
On my recent visit, I placed an order totaling $22.03 and tapped my credit card to pay. The cashier claimed the payment didn’t go through. I immediately checked my banking app and confirmed that the charge was pending on my account. When I informed the cashier, she escalated the matter to the manager.
Rather than taking the time to investigate or assist properly, the manager told me to tap my card again—essentially asking me to pay double, without acknowledging the pending charge I already had. When I asked what would happen if both charges posted, I was told that I would need to dispute it with my credit card company because “it didn’t go through on our end.” This was not only dismissive but unacceptable.
The attitude I received made me feel as though I was trying to scam them, which is incredibly insulting. No one offered a real solution or took responsibility for resolving the matter in a way that respected the customer’s time or money.
Ultimately, I was charged, and I had to spend my own time following up with my credit card company to resolve the issue—something that should never fall on the customer for a payment error originating on Starbucks’ side.
THIS EXPERIENCE IS EXACTLY WHY I HAVE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR A STARBUCKS CARD AND NEVER WILL. I will not support a corporation that places more value on its profits than...
Read moreThis poor rating is largely for their two bathrooms which have no sinks in them so you must exit by touching the filthy germ ridden door handles. When you step out theres a wash station with no soap loaded on either side of the two water ports. So now you're germ ridden hands are wet with no paper towels because they have hand blowers. The search for an employee to help find soap takes 3 minutes, turns out to be a manager who reluctantly goes for a gallon jug. He plops it down on the ground near the wash basin and says "I'll be right back" to the wind. He returns a few minute later while my coffee is getting cold and says "stop and wait let me fill the system with soap first, it won't take long" I ignored him put a small amount in the gallon cap and proceeded to finally wash my hands. No apology from that manager for there not being soap loaded. Poor research and planning rewriting the concept of having sinks inside the bathroom s in the first place. I question NYC sanitation laws if they abide by this ill conceived idea. Lastly no gluten free bakery choices, nice thank you to the 20% of the American public who need and/or simply prefer the gluten free diet. If this is a chain wide decision regarding bathroom sanitation I will dump Starbucks from my routine all together. Think of all those people wandering around touching everything without having properly washed their hands! Employees...
Read moreI have visited this location before and have usually had an okay experience, but today was different. As I understand, Sundays are a usual busy day, and I don't put blame on the employees because they are usually understaffed by evening to night. It was quite a horror to see my favorite crew struggling with the rude customers and doing multiple tasks on their own. I came in around 3-4 pm. and ordered my stuff, and as usual, it came out delicious, but just after I received my items, it got busy really badly. I tried to mind my business doing my work on my laptop, but I couldn't help but feel sad but also amazed by how well the barista handled herself while her boss was on his break.. I asked for her name, and she said it was Tiffany. She was just a sweetheart truly. Even if there were mistakes on the orders that she or her coworker made on the drinks, she would always say it's okay with a smile on her face and remake it. She ofc mumble under her breath a bit, but it's understandable considering how many drinks she had to do all on her own. But that still didn't stop her from talking to the regulars and joking with her co-workers. I might come around this location a lot more since the crew tonight seems so fun and sweet. P.S. (to Starbucks Corporate) I really do think the baristas in this location deserve a lot of respect for how much they do and how kind they are. Give...
