The Bay Terrace shopping center is very interesting I was attracted to it by a place called Monster crab where they offer you a buffet but the buffet is on the menu it's all you can eat for $50 in change and you order it off the menu they bring it to you and they bring to you as much of the same thing that you want and Without Limits so they call it a buffet but it's not traditional Buffet it's not where you go up and you grab what you want with everybody else it's a seated down Buffet the atmosphere is very nice the service is excellent and they really make some very good mixed drinks there I found it to be very pleasing I found the cost to be a little on the high side I thought that they could do this without charging so much the food however was excellent and abundant when they brought you your first amount of food based on a buffet concept there was a lot of food there and I ordered additional stuff that I also ate they have a very strict policy of not wasting any food and they charge you for leftovers I didn't like that idea also there is a charge for taking out what you have left over so even if you have leftovers and even if you take it home they still charge you by the pound to take it home even though you already paid for the food this to me is a scam and should not be done when you're spending close to $200 for two people for additionals of the meal the meal only includes the food it doesn't include anything to drink it doesn't include your alcoholic beverages it doesn't include anything extra that you want you know out of your main meal order once you order your first main meal you can only reorder those particular items if you want an additional item that becomes a secondary order so I found it to be very political in regards to how they charge you and in one way it's a nice place to visit if you want to treat someone to really nice food maybe like once a year because they really are money-minded and this did not sit too well with me I found that it was a very nice place to be and I do recommend it if you're willing to drop two to $300 in a Decor that's medium in nature and in service that's medium in nature I found the place to be excessively clean I found a place to be accessible to have a nice seat I found the bathrooms were clean but at a very high price keep in mind Bay Terrace shopping area is not going to the city but in this place you pay city prices...

We were waited on by a tall slender young man (yaaaaaaaaay) named Peter. Peter was fantastic, great, super, and very effortlessly patient!!!!!! Peter was the best that I've ever had in a restaurant experience! He was very tall (6'7) and Peter decided on his own to lower himself as we spoke with him so we wouldn't strain looking up at him. Sweet. I love looking up at attractive men. It was a very refreshing change from be served by tightly clothed, cleavage filled girls. Peter was very knowledgeable of the menu, he gave us suggestions when we asked, as the people began to come in in a slow trickle Peter still gave us enough attention for me to be satisfied. I like my meat well done. No pink no blood ever! Peter understood and even recommended extra well which I didn't know existed. He even took in to consideration when I asked the air be turned down so our food would stay warm longer. The food was great steak was still tender, the char-grilled flavor was out of this world! The french fries are delicious, and the salad minus the cheese was great with oil & vinegar. My gentleman friend enjoyed his steak & lobster Mac & cheese. The appetizer bread that comes first was simply scrumptious! It was warm, brown, soft, and yuuuummmmy! Peter checked on us continually WITHOUT being annoying! It was my birthday and Peter & my friend sung happy birthday to me over vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate on top. That was sweet & unexpected. I highly recommend everybody to go outback steakhouse and I hope you get Peter. May I also suggest a very nice tip of $20 or more for him, Peter was worth it. He treat ALL the guests the very same way. Polite, hospitable, calm, timely, honest, and with a smile. He even remembered to ask me if I'm a member of the rewards program which I am, it's important because it get a discount after the fourth visit. Peter was great!!! Thank you Outback. Better keep Peter he's a wonderful employee!...

Thereâs something special about a place that manages to feel like both a reliable go-to and a cozy throwback. Bay Terrace Shopping Center hits that sweet spot. Tucked into the heart of Bayside, itâs not trying to be flashy or overly trendyâitâs just solid, dependable, and comfortably familiar. And in a world of mega-malls and online chaos, thatâs something worth appreciating.
Youâve got your staples: Stop & Shop for groceries, a movie theater for those spontaneous âletâs catch a flickâ nights, and a mix of national chains like Barnes & Noble and Old Navy. But what really gives it heart are the local gemsâlike the mom-and-pop eateries and bakeries that have clearly been loved on for decades.
Parking is a breeze (hallelujah), and the layout makes it easy to stroll around without feeling like youâre gearing up for a hike. Itâs clean, well-maintained, and feels safeâeven during evening hours. The whole place has that old-school community vibe where youâll likely bump into someone you know, or at the very least, someone walking a pug in a sweater.
Is it the fanciest center in New York? Nope. But it doesnât need to be. Bay Terrace is about familiarity, convenience, and local charm. Itâs a place where errands feel less like chores and more like a casual outing.
So if youâre looking for a shopping experience that values tradition but still keeps up with the times, Bay Terrace is your spot. Long live the neighborhood...
