Oven been to every Home Depot with my dog. Multiple times. He’s usually a star when he enters and customers love him. Today I entered this Home Depot with him and immediately I was told by a staff member with red hair that I cannot have my dog in here. He needs to be in the cart. (I’m shopping for Clearance Christmas decorations for next season. I need the cart) I asked her “since when” and she said to read the sign outside on the door Unless he’s a service dog and just turned away. Now I get if that is a new policy or whatever I’m really not sure what the official policy is regarding dogs. I know I’ve called the one on the north shore and they said as long as the dog is well behaved it’s fine and I know that in the last year I’ve had him he has always gone with me to all the Home Depot’s in Staten Island and even Lowe’s which I went to after I left this store. My dog is extremely well behaved no prey drive and loves everyone who comes up to him to greet him. He won’t just pull towards anyone he waits politely to be greeted. Anyway, Continuing. I decided to call the store to ask about the for some clarification on the policy. I called them, asked for a manager was put on hold but not actually hold. The lady on the line was polite but I assume she didn’t know how to operate the phones because she kept apologizing, asked if I could call back and I guess was going to get me direction on what prompts to press for the manager then I guess she called an associate and asked them to transfer me to a manager. She was very polite about it. But now as I am typing this review I’ve been on hold for 25 mins. I did notice that while I was briefly in the store the parking lot was not near being being full and NO ONE was at the help desk waiting on time. So NO ONE picked up the line for 26 mins now as i am...
Read moreI want to take a moment to share my experience with Mr. Michael T. Roussel, the Operations Manager at Home Depot. I’m incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to speak with him regarding my situation.
I had recently purchased a brand-new LG WashTower. While the washer worked perfectly, the dryer was not functioning at all. I immediately contacted LG customer service, but the experience was extremely frustrating. They kept giving me the runaround, offering excuse after excuse and refusing to send a technician. I then called Home Depot, only to be told I needed to go through LG directly. After spending hours on the phone over the course of three separate calls and getting nowhere, I had no choice but to put a hold on the payment through my credit card until I could find a resolution.
That evening, I decided to visit Home Depot in person and asked to speak with the Manager on Duty. Thankfully, that’s when I met Mr. Michael Roussel. From the moment we shook hands and sat down, I felt confident that I was finally speaking with someone who would take action. He immediately got to work—no delays, no excuses. He listened carefully, explained every step clearly, and followed up with professionalism and urgency.
By 5 p.m. that same day, I received a text confirming that my defective unit would be replaced. Michael followed up again with a second phone call around 9 p.m., which truly shows his dedication.
THANK YOU, MICHAEL.
You're clearly an Operations Manager for a reason. Your professionalism, care, and commitment to resolving issues set a great...
Read moreI place an online order for curbside pickup on 1/5 at 1:30 PM at the Staten Island Forest Ave store, was expecting to receive the ready to pickup email in 2 hours and didn't receive it until 7:37PM well after curbside pickup time ending at 6. We are elderly and can't lift the microwave up. Arrived at the store on 1/6 checked in for curbside pickup. Watched store associate bring a purchase to the car next to me which arrived after I did. I figured the store associate would come back with my order and waited over 15 minutes and nothing. I went into the store to inquire about my curbside pickup, the customer service associates were aloof like could not be bothered and claimed the system was down. It took some effort to get them to take my order number. They brought the microwave out from behind the counter in a cart for me to take. I told them no this was curbside I can't lift that. Finally they got someone to do what they were supposed to do all along and bring it to the car. I have had issues with them before they seemed lazy and don't understand simple concepts of helping a customer. You call the store they don't pick up the phone, tried that late yesterday to see when I could go to get the order. There have been too many issues with customer agents there over the past few years. I am going to start shopping at Lowe's now like some of my neighbors who have had enough of the bad treatment there. I f I could give a rating of -5 stars that would be more appropriate...
