If your do track this place is heaven and hell at the same time. Mile-split use and environment is the best no question. But the employees, the food, and the bathrooms here are absolutely trash service. Sorry to say it to the staff I know there under a lot of pressure but out of my 4 races there this season they messed up seeding, names, and other things at least 3 times, and then last year the same thing. They even had me down on my PIN number as a completely different kid from a different state that was in a much lower heat. Then the food, the food here is overpriced crumbs, you get a slice of pizza here for like $5, ridiculous, not to mention the other options of food they have here is trash. And then the bathrooms omg, First off as a guy you probs would think we don't have to wait, WRONG! There are 2 girls bathrooms back to back on the track floor right near were you get lined up for heats and it would be great if 1 at least was a guys one, but if you were a guy you would have to go downstairs and go through this hallway where you'll probs be tackled or body slammed trying to get to the bathrooms, and once you're there you have to wait on the line for about 20 min and miss you're...
Read moreGoing inside you can find on your left is the entry to pay to be let in. You can either go to the main track if you continue on the left or if you go straight you can enjoy the track museum that they have wonderfully displayed. There are four levels to the building: Level 1 is the check-in and museum, Level 2 is the warm up area for runners , Level 3 is the main track and field, and Level 4 is the stadium seating. As a winter track runner I was astonished to see the track for the first time. You feel like you're in the Olympics with the stadium seating and with how open the field is. It was actually the first time I ever saw a banked track and I was confused as to why they did it. Until I realized that some of the fastest times in the US are set at this track. The only complaint I have is the the main stairwell and the back of the stadium always smells like Marijuana. But overall, It is truly an experience...
Read moreGreat for athletes, but miserable for spectators. There is no parking, so be prepared to hunt for a spot on the streets, or be forced to spend $50 for parking. Inside the Armory there is limited seats, and many of the seats have extremely poor sight lines, & it's difficult to see the track events. There is no place to store your coats, and it was so hot inside. Plus, do to the lack of seats we had to hold our winter coats. You can not bring in outside food or beverages, so if your hungry and dont want to leave the Armory, you are forced to buy mediocre fast food. The kicker was, there is a $12 admission per adult to enter the building, which is ridiculous, especially because we went to a high school track meet. Each school pays to compete. (On a side note- we pay school taxes, that fund the athletic programs, so we technically...
