I'm usually a fan of Dallas bbq which is why when I noticed this establishment and immediately decide what I wanted for dinner. It started off well, the hostess wanted to seat me in the outside(plastic covered) area, and was flexible when I asked to be seated in the inside area as it was spacious and cool and the outside part was packed and humid. Now my waitress NICOLE was very friendly at first. Gave suggestions to help me decide, let me test out the new Henny frozen drink. I didn't like that drink so she suggested a maitai and I obliged; I ordered my food and was ready to go, I ordered the app Henny wings w/shrimp and a side of fries.
THE MAITAI tasted like straight alcohol, and I could not handle it. I took 2 sips and hated it, it did not taste good. So I told NICOLE that I couldn't drink it b.c. it was too strong and politely asked if I could get another drink to replace it. She said no and surprises me with a fine print that states "FROZEN BEVERAGES ARE NONREFUNDABLE". I told her I would argue that because my beverage was not one of Dallas BBQ's signature frozen bev's. It was a mixed drink (NOT FROZEN)
Anyway Nicole gets the manager, I explained to SELVIN what happened and that I could not drink the drink and I was willing to purchase a different drink instead. He gestured to the fine print where I reiterated it only states FROZEN BEVERAGES are nonrefundable, and mine was NOT FROZEN. But he stated it applied to all drinks. Even though it was not clearly stated. He asked Nicole if she explained that to me prior to ordering the drinks and she LIED TO SELVIN and said she did when she didn't. SELVIN sided with her.
I asked her afterwards why she lied to him when she didn't mention anything of the sort and she didn't respond to me.
Im disappointed because as a patron my needs weren't met, and I when I didn't like what was suggested to me, I was met with no flexibility and the waitress lied to the manager about mentioning that drinks were nonrefundable.
It's hard to believe that a chain like DALLAS BBQ is so strict with drinks when they're making so much money off of hardworking individuals.
All I wanted to do was to grab a bite and have a drink and wind down, and ended up receiving...
Read moreI’m giving this Location 1 star for a few reasons. My friends and I went to this location for July 4th. One of my friends said she really didn’t want to go this location because she had a bad experience the last time she went.. I said I usually don’t have any issues when I go .. but this time was going to change that: we looked at the menu and decided to do the early bird special being that it was 4pm .. we tell the waiter we want the early bird special he said let me check with my manager and see if it’s available. I said it should be because it doesn’t display not available on holidays. He comes back and said no. I said I would like to speak to him. He said ok .. while he was away I checked the Dallas BBQS website and it didn’t disclose that it wasn’t available on holidays. The manager comes and I explain everything to him and asked him is this a location rule because it’s not disclosed on the menu nor on the website and he said it didn’t have to be .. I said oh ok never knew that was acceptable. We still ordered everything We wanted .. knowing I was going to report this to the Better Business Bureau (it was about principal which I’m big on) … but it gets worse the food came and there was a long hair strand on her food (we took a picture of it) we told the waiter he asked if she wanted him to take it back ( what kind of question is that? Of course she does) .. no one came to apologize for the unwanted hair in the food. Which shows Lack of Hospitality Skills. And I’m completely disappointed. We paid for everything and gave the waiter a 22% tip still because it wasn’t his fault. I will not visit this location again and honestly considering not going to any location at all...
Read moreHorrible Service!!!! My friends and i went here on a Friday night (It was 10 of us, 5 adults and 5 kids) When we arrived, of course there was a wait because it was Friday, and it was about 9pm. The hostess told us it was about a 20-30min wait. We were okay with that. So we stood outside and about 45mins go by, and we still aren't called, so i ask the hostess again, and she tells us that there is a table of 6 that is cleared out, and they are waiting for the table of 4 to be cleared so they can combine the tables together to make 10. So we said "Cool". Now, 20mins go by so we sit inside of the restaurant (because at this point we are cold, HUNGRY, and the kids are getting cranky, and sleepy) We were waiting inside for 30 MORE mins and i see the hostess walk by with a party of 4. I said to her " You guys are still waiting on our table?" She says "Yes". Now, 30mins go by and at this point my friend is getting frustrated because we are hungry, we have hungry, cranky, sleepy kids, and we all have work in the a.m. She pulls the manager aside and tells him the story. Long story short the DINGY hostess gave our table away to the party of 4 after we waited damn near 3 hours for this table!!! The manager was VERY unprofessional, he did NOT even say sorry or anything! He was EXTREAMY rude, and so were the staff. So not only did we leave hungry (with 5 hungry kids) we left upset, and forced to eat Wendy's across the street. We will NOT spend our money at this location UNTILL hey hire better staff and managers who ACTUALLY know how to run a restaurant, and put their...
