Having lived in NYC for over 10 years, I understand the frustration of trying to find the best barber in your neighborhood. Over the course of my 10+ years in the city, I have moved from Turtle Bay UES Batter Park City Clinton Hill (BK). I can confidentally say that Vanderbilt Barber is the best barber I have ever had in NYC. Personally, Eli was my guy, but all of the gents at VB are experts in their craft. They are awesome to talk to and genuinely care about making you look your very best. Whether it is a quick stop in for a clean-up, or a full haircut + beard shave, VB will 100% take care of you, and you won't be upset with how you look walking out the door.

I am going to miss VB, as I am moving out of the city, but will 100% be back anytime I an in the neighborhood. Thank you VB for the last 2 years of amazing cuts!

Highly recommend booking an appointment through their website for...

In the end I got a stellar haircut for nearly half the price of what some other places in the area charge. Plus Eli is a great dude. I'll absolutely be back.

Also worth noting: the customer Eli had just before me had grown his hair out for two years -- it was feetlong -- and came off the chair looking like a guy on a GQ cover. It was incredible impressive to see the range of cuts...

I, like a lot of guys, am very bad at telling a barber what I want. I showed up with about three months of growth and gave Michael a word salad that concluded with “but I don’t really know what I want.”

What I got was the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. I came out of the chair looking like I actually care about my appearance. The only downside is now I know that I can get a good haircut and have it look good, I get them more often than once every three months.

Everything else about the place is awesome. I highly...
