If I could give 0 stars I would, I don't understand how they are still in business. I "missed" my package, I was home all day and they didn't even come to my door or ring the buzzard. The slip stated that they will attempt to re deliver, I decided to go to here because lets face it theirs no point of you paying more for next day delivery when the USPS decides to hire people who don't even want to take a elevator flight up so "re-delivery" seemed far fetch. Their was a huge single line for everything and an over weight Spanish man (Elvis) walks out from the back screaming if anyone was here for pick up. I walk up to him tell him that whom ever they had deliver it didn't actually come up. The package was under my husbands name (I AM LEGALLY MARRIED) meaning we have the same address and have for the past couple of years along with the same last name. This over weight man (Elvis) shows me the package and tells me he cannot give it to me because I do not walk around with my husbands ID. In what world ! Do you walk around with someone else's ID none the less an ID is a identification card WHO ARE YOU IDENTIFYING !?! Im convinced this has to be the most idiotic policy ever and completely disregard the fact that I'm legally married and some how this government company misunderstands the purpose of an...
Read moreWell, to start off with let me just say. People come to the post office and expect to be waited on in 2-5 mins. Unfortunately that's not always the case. New Yorkers are in way to much of a hurry. They want everything done (yesterday) . I myself know that when I go to the post office. I know that there will be a wait time of at least 10-30 minutes. (And holidays when the wait time is always over (30 minutes) As for myself, I always have my parcels and packages ready for the window clerk. ( boxes taped up the right way ,and when I can, I add the postage ON my packages before hand) .
Then there are those who come to the post office to look for a misplaced package. or piece of mail ( which does happen now and again ) . Rest assured these people are only human . I have stood there often and listen to people rant & scream vulgar and obscene language at the person behind the counter. In one case a person went on a yelling and cursing spree for 10 minutes about a piece of mail that was not delivered to them. Banging ,screaming, yelling and bacily holding up the entire line. Only to realize that he gave the person sending the letter to them. The wrong address in the first place.
So please people, try to be a little more...
Read moreFirst off my mail carrier thought it'd be appropriate to leave a solitary rubber band in my mail box instead of a note saying that I wouldnt be receiving my amazon prime packages that day. Maybe they should offer training on how to actually ring bells because chances are that the person is home waiting for their package....like me!!! As if the incompetence of the mail man wasnt enough, I called 12 times to the office on the day I rescheduled after being put on hold for 40 minutes, because that person never came back to the phone, to make sure my packages were arrving that day. Its clear the people here don't care at all to do their jobs and thats a shame, especially since my cat's food was in one of those packages. It's a miracle my cat didnt die of starvation while waiting (thats an extreme exaggeration). Perhaps if I had ordered with standard shipping I wouldnt be so disappointed in the service, however, i expected 2 day shipping from amazon prime as promised. I really hope amazon stops using usps because it's obviously these people have been doing this for years and don't have any future plans of changing...
