I used to come here many years ago, when the school had a different name and back then it was a great salsa dance school. I came back here a month ago and I’m happy to say that the quality of the school is always top notch. The main instructors, now owners, are still the same: Javier was a great teacher back then and he is even better now, he is always really good a breaking down everything and he is so patient and funny, and Julissa is really good at explaining and breaking down body movement and styling, for both men and women. This aspect was a little bit lacking years ago, so I was really happy about it. They both are super nice and they were so surprised and genuinely happy to see me after all these years. The new school offers classes with other amazing instructors, and one of them is the great Eddie Torres, who basically invented salsa Ny style. They also offer an extensive bachata curriculum, with amazing teachers. They also have socials and events. The only thing missing in the new school is my friend Edwin, the guy who used to be at the front desk. They told me he retired and he’s enjoying life traveling in the Caribbean. I hope to see him soon!! Overall this is a great dance school, join it and learn how to dance. You won’t...
Read moreI’ve been dancing at Visa Dance Studio for about six months now, and it’s been a fantastic experience. This is my third attempt lol! I’m currently in Level I, but I still attend beginner classes to continue polishing my basics — and I truly appreciate that there’s no pressure or judgment around your pace of progress. The environment is high-energy, supportive, and fun, making it easy to stay motivated. You get to train with the owners, Julie and Javier, and other incredible instructors who are just as passionate, patient, and genuinely dedicated to helping each student grow. I’ve really enjoyed the music, the community, and especially the feeling of knowing I’m improving with every class. There are also plenty of chances to practice what you learn through scheduled social dancing and studio events, which adds a nice social element to the learning. I’ve already recommended the studio to friends and would absolutely suggest it to anyone interested in learning how to dance salsa on2 or bachata. It’s a great investment if you want quality instruction in a welcoming and...
Read moreI have been part of VIDA dance studio for almost 3 years. I have met many students/classmates from different countries and professional backgrounds. I was happy to see how so many of us grew into great dancers thanks to the wonderful teachers they have. With time the relationships between classmates grow into friendships. You dance, you laugh, you cry and you love all at once. It is a great school to register at because here you will learn all the fundamentals you need to Latin dance. I took their salsa, bachata and bachata sensual classes and I really enjoyed them. In July of 2023 I joined their student dance team and did my first salsa and bachata presentation. If you want to meet new people, socialize, , exercise and learn to dance all at the same time then this is the place to join. Go to their home page and check out all the different classes and schedules they have to offer. New beginners classes are available every month, so it’s never too late to join. Hope you enjoy your classes as...
