We Rock The Spectrum - Staten Island — Attraction in New York

Just went today with my son. The gym itself is very nice . Perfect for children of all ages. Very clean and well kept. Good pricing for open play as well as the packaged deals. There are just a lot of great things to say about this place, and i really loved the experience . HOWEVER, the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because some children were not being watched and got VERY rowdy on some of the swinging/ hanging obstacles. It can become very dangerous for the little ones . The rule of having an adult watching their kids at all times was not enforced ( at least the 1 time I've gone so far), and staff just stood there watching the chaos , rather them asking them to be careful due to other small children running around with their parents. I know there is a waiver to be signed, but it still shouldn't make the play areas a known danger to others if it can be stopped.

I decided to give this place another go. It is definitely much better during the weekday mornings . Less kids , fewer people . It is more likely to be enjoyable for your little one due to the ample amount of space there is. My son truly enjoys playing with his friends at this place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Today however there were two individuals who were complaining about my child rather incessantly. He is high functioning autistic with suspected tourette's syndrome. He can't help himself when it comes to saying random inappropriate things. To quote the one mother "I know this place is for autistic kids but do you have to let so many in all at once". I was stunned at the level of this person's ignorance. This isnt a reflection on the owner or staff, I just want to let parents know that we need to be aware of exactly who is allowed in this facility. Not everyone believes in acceptance and accommodation, unfortunately. These two women were demanding refunds and having the nerve to complain about children with special needs using a facility intended for children with special needs 🤦‍♀️🙄. I recently had my daughter's birthday party there, although she enjoyed it with her friends; I on the other hand didn't. I wasn't told in advance I needed to drop off the party supplies or confirmed the party with me until the day before the party! Upon arriving for the party there was only one host there who couldn't leave the front unattended so I had to set up the party room by myself with family. The second host came and finally I got a little bit of help like hanging streamers and pulling out a plastic table cloth... after nearly everything was already set up! I spent my entire time in the party room and not with my daughter! But she had fun, I guess that is what matters. I would only recommend this place for open play only for us. They have a nice size parking lot as well as the gym with many activities, a calming room, zip line, trampoline , toddler corners, rock wall climbing, swings, etc. My kids love playing at We Rock the Spectrum!
