Security personnel at the volleyball tournament take their jobs WAY too seriously. It's a completely different experience than every other venue, even the field house across the parking lot. One of our parents had a tripod with a phone on it set up to stream the matches, and the security guard in light blue told her to take it off the arena floor. He told me I could not take pictures on the arena floor. Fast forward a couple hours, and several other parents were ALLOWED to set up their tripods.
Selective policy enforcement is a big red flag in my book. Our club will not be returning to this tournament in the future.
Also regarding the parking lot, they should have gotten a more experienced or better educated civil engineer to design it. The bottlenecking at the entrances/exits is awful. The spots are also too tight. Cars parked next to each other can't both open their doors at the same time. And if someone parks close to one of their lines, forget about it...
Concession prices are actually not horribly unreasonable, although the selection is not extensive. Toddler chow only.
On a positive note, whoever designed the restrooms actually created an intelligent layout for high volume with separate entrances and exits to keep traffic flowing uninterrupted unidirectionally. The soap dispensers and paper towels are stocked, so that's a plus. Additional plus, it's 5 minutes from a Wawa, and 13 minutes from Costco, which is...
Read moreI went to a concert at The Bob Carpenter Center. Parking was a complete fiasco. There were empty spots all over the place (not counting the ones that were flooded out from rain) but they wouldn't let anyone into those parking lots. It took about 45 minutes to get to a parking spot and that was from turning right onto 896 from Route 4. Which is about 1/4 mile. People were parking in the church lot and hotels and walking over. They must have previous experience of the nightmare parking is. Then when we got into the venue, we were in the 4th row from the floor but had to go up the elevator in order to walk back down all the steps to get to our seat which was painful for my friend who has a bad knee. Really not sure why they can't allow people to walk down the aisle to get to their section. If they want to host concerts they need to get it together. Maybe talk to Camden who has made great improvements in parking and exiting in the past years. I've been to high school graduations here as well and think it is a mess the way they drop everyone out into a small alley where you try to find...
Read moreGREAT ARENA FOR A WWE EVENT. Small, and you get an up close experience. 3 problems i had. First, the parking for the wwe house show. The line was a half mile long, and then they cut it off to park closer towards the football stadium. It wasn't a bad walk except the rain. You need better coordination. Second, when everyone is leaving, you couldnt walk out the exit from the floor. You made everyone walk up and get stuck together. This, if i wasn't with a person who had an injury, it would have been fine. I asked and was still told we had to go up the steps. Finally, my section had no one checking tickets. We had a few open seats around us, and people moved down, and we had four tickets, but due to a larger person, we all couldn't fit and we were forced to move a few seats rather than get into an argument. I got there around 615pm. I definitely will arrive way early next time, and my advice for anyone else is to arrive...
