My family I got in go our hotel a little after lunch on a Tuesday, after a 10 hour drive (we were visiting the area to attend a funeral). The TGIF here was the closest restaurant, and with several kids under 10, everybody was tired and the kids were antsy from being in the car.
TGIF seemed the closest and easiest option, walking distance from the hotel, so we settled on the option of ordering food to go so everyone could stretch out in the hotel room while I went to get food and bring it back.
I tried ordering over the online app, but the difference between the "full menu" and what was actually available at this location was not clear and confusing. For instance, on a regular cheeseburger, (not even the whiskey sauce signature burger), the only option on the online ordering was a gluten-free bun. No regular bun, no sesame bun, or any other option, were available.
And if you chose "full menu" at the start of your online order, and added everything you wanted including condiments and sides, and then got to the check out, it wouldn't let you complete the order but wouldn't tell you that you were ordering items that apparently weren't available at this location.
The online experience was so bad, I tried to call instead. The phone call was answered and immediately hung up. I ended up giving the online order one last go, and selected condiments on the burgers that they requested of you (such as ketchup, mayo, or mustard).
I walk over, and given that it's between noon and 1pm on a college campus on spring break, there's almost no one there, including staff. I waited a few minutes (less than 10) for someone to get there, and they were quite pleasant while getting my order. No issues with the actual people working there.
I bring the order back, and find out that none of the three burgers have condiments of any kind on them (2 kids burgers and 1 adult burger).
We were already tired from a 10+ hour drive, and because we're only there because of a funeral anyway, we weren't in the best of moods to begin with. This was just too much at the end of the day, and I would not recommend ordering online from this...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had at dinner with my family. Unfortunately I had to put starts to write this but if I was able to give a number I would give a -0 rating. I came home from college for the weekend and we decided to go to TGIF. We got sat to order and to begin our waiter did not write down any of our food. He then had to come back not only a minute later to ask me what I had ordered. Thank god he did because what he “thought” I ordered was the complete opposite of what I ordered. He thought it was salmon but it was chicken breast. Then he brings out my brothers food and we had asked for the food to be a chicken sandwich with only bun, sauce, and chicken. When it came out it had bacon and cheese as well, so we asked for a new sandwich with only chicken, sauce and bun. Then the third time the chicken luckily didn’t have cheese but still had bacon. Thank god he isn’t allergic so we took it off. The waiter had then said that my mom’s food would be 5 more mins due to it being hot. 25 minutes and three plates eaten later my mom still did not have her food. Finally after I went to the hostess to check on the order, the waiter comes up to table and says the food is a “waiting in process”. We then asked for the food to be scratched and for the manager. When the manager came over she was not compassionate at all. She only told us that it was a kitchen problem and that she was going to talk to them. We were only offered an appetizer or dessert gift card for our next visit. As being someone who is going to college to run her own business one day, I am frustrated and disappointed to see how someone runs their business. When in the wrong, a manager or someone who is in change needs to accommodate the mistake and make their customer feel understood. This manager Danielle did not do this at all. My dad had to pay the bill and watch his wife not eat a meal at dinner that we were excited for. My mother works hard everyday running her own business and making her clients happy and it is disgusting to see other owners not...
Read moreI won't even allow my dog to go this place. I was disgraced, discriminated , assaulted, humiliated and threatened by the manager and some staff of this entity because of a very common misunderstanding between a male waiter and myself. He accused me of not paying a tab which I did paid double. I even give this waiter a $5 tip which he accepted but later threw it back at me because of the argument between him and myself. This incident happened tonight 12/14/2018, a day I will never forget until I die. We went in as a group to celebrate the departure of two of our coworkers. Instead of he opening separate tabs for all those who placed in orders, he went on and single out people who he thought placed in order, in which I fell victim to such dubious act, after some of our coworkers left without paying. Those of us that remained at the spot rallied around and pay majority of said amount on the tab. Why still sitting and conversing with the remaining guys from my job, the waiter came back and singled me out, saying that I still owed. Why trying to make him understand that I did pay even more than what I ordered, was when the argument started between him and myself. He felt I wanted to rob him out of $9.00. At this point without proper investigation, management stepped in and decided to kick me out. I refused to leave on grounds that I want the matter to be settled. This was when they threatened to call the cops. I'm so shock right now with the manner in which the management handle the entire situation. For this I will never ever go to this particular TGI...
