WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. Went here because of the reviews and I would not recommend it to anybody. The building has the thinnest walls/floors out of any place I've stayed and I frequently travel in and out of state. I'm medically retired military and after my time in service I got an emotional support animal. I stayed here for almost a week and got woken up everyday by housekeeping in the hallway. You can hear everything from all the rooms next to you, including different floors. You can even hear everything outside and this hotel is outside of a stadium for refrence. I had a bad feeling about this hotel with my emotional support dog from the beginning, but I made sure to mention them everytime I talked to the hotel to make sure they accepted ESA's. After my stay I was billed $200 for "mess left by dog." Realistically the only thing this could be is dog hair, but staying somewhere for a week obviously there will be dog hair and at a hotel what am I to do about that? Never has it been an issue at any other place I've ever stayed and we always make sure to clean more than we need to like wiping down surfaces and taking out all of our trash. I'm extremely dissapointed and won't ever stay at this brand of hotel, especially not this one. This hotel had ample opportunity to let me know that my ESA was an issue, but instead they waited untill after my stay to bill me extra for something like dog mess. I feel extremely used and I definitely think this greedy corporation should be ashamed though they clearly don't care. There's no vending machines, so if you want anything you have to go through the front desk. Everytime I went to the front desk, no one was there and I had a long wait for someone to show up. The breakfast was bad and once they run out of anything don't expect it to get refilled if you even wanted it to. (If you want a nice stay somewhere, I would recommend...
Read moreIf I could give this particular location a negative star I would. My experience here was awful. When we first arrived in our room, our linen looked dirty, the shower had hair in it, & I spotted some bug 🐜 on the linen. We contacted the front desk and the first thing they asked was, "did we take a picture of it", as opposed to I apologize. Due to it being so late we could not check into another hotel so we were given another room. After we changed rooms we were awakened at 2am by loud guests underneath us arguing and fighting. We contacted the front desk to inform them about the issue, it took about 2 hours for the noise to stop, upon which the police was called. In the morning we asked to speak to a manger but the desk supervisor was the only person present at the time. We asked if she was aware of the inconvenience the night prior, she leaned on the desk as we weee speaking to her, & even lied and said the police came and handled the situation in 30 mins which was not true because we recorded the disturbance going on 2 hours. She was very unprofessional and didn't even apologize let alone accommodate us. The hotel overall was dirty, there were towels in the hallway, open ceilings in which we could see pipes, trash at the exits of the hotel. It was unfortunate our stay was so awful because we had previously stayed in a Baymont in Baytown, Texas which offered better customer service and a clean facility. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying here. I've stayed in way better places for the price, & the Delaware location gave Baymont a bad reputation. I would rather stay in a red roof than stay at this location again! Thumbs down, you guys need better customer service not people who seemed unenthused...
Read moreThe price is right, but you get what you pay for. I stayed there last month over the weekend and was very unhappy. Saturday evening, when I returned to my room, it had not been cleaned the entire day. I immediately reported this to the manager on duty and, though a very nice person, I was told that the issue would be reported to the daytime manager because the cleaning staff reported it was cleaned. Hmmm. Sunday evening, it was the same business. I took pictures and reported this to the manager on duty. He was a very nice person and took the time to bring me fresh towels, but why are there managers on duty in the evening who cannot address complaints. I spoke with the daytime manager the next morning as I was checking out and was told he had to investigate the matter with his staff even though Inhad pictures. I called later that day when I returned to CA since Inrwceived no call as promised. Needless to say, he was still investigating the matter. Several calls later and not only has the manager given me an update, but he has stopped returning my calls. Mind you, I have not been rude or mean on the phone with anyone, I just would like the matter addressed. This hotel is in a prime location across from the University of Delaware, but I want people to know that the customer service on the management side leaves a LOT to be desired. I will not stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone.
As an FYI, the entire weekend, people were smoking weed in the back of the hotel where I parked my car for quick access to my dirty room. Not a good look for a hotel who promotes...
