Of the two train stations in Newark, this one is my favorite, it is also my most used. Orginally built in 1903, this station received an overhaul in 2008. Rail service is provided by NJT'S Morristown Line, Montclair-Boonton Line and Gladstone Branch. There is extensive service on weekdays and reasonable service on weekends. The station is wheelchair accessible and the station provides convenient connections to the Newark Light Rail and a variety of NJT bus lines on University Ave and Broad Street. Read moreI've gone to this train station for about 6 years, and really like the layout of the area. There’s a light rail train that passes through, a bus stop, and trains going east and west here (Track 1,2,3) platform. There’s an elevator for those with disabilities, and a place to buy snacks.
