Days of Knights — Attraction in Newark

This afternoon a friend and I went inside this magic the gathering store excited to look through the binders and talk magic. As soon as I opened my mouth to ask a magic question I was rudely interrupted by the guy that was In there today with the statement “I don’t play magic” instantly I was like okay and proceeded to ask for the binders so I could look at cards to ad to my deck. The entire time we were stared at and it seemed like it was bothersome that we wanted to come into this store and spend money. I give it 3 stars because the other gentleman who work here are always super nice. If the owner could kindly ask him to treat people with respect: rolling your eyes making snarky remarks and being rude is not the way to go. There are so many other stores near here to buy cards from. I will be returning but only when someone is behind the counter who actually enjoys the love of cards and is happy to have us...

I stopped in today to purchase a pokemon box as my Husband and I are BOTH collectors. They have a limit of 1 per person. Since we had a sleeping child in the car, I sent him in first to purchase his box. Once he returned to the car, I left him with our child and went in for my box. I was denied because it was the same debit card. We have a joint account so the money comes from the same account. I was denied being able to buy a box. The two men behind the counter were extremely rude. So what is the rule here folks, one per person or one per debit card. I would avoid this store at all cost especially if you are a couple and both collect, as one if you will get turned away without product. Since I work on campus, I spent alot of time and money at this place, trying to support small local businesses. NEVER again....

The management here is very rude, sometimes to customers, sometimes to workers. I have had several bad experiences here including getting told that an advertised sale with signs still up was "supposed to have been removed last week" in an attempt to refuse the discount--then all but yelling at the person who rang up the discount in the first place in front of me; talking down to me on the phone and hanging up on me after answering clarification questions; ignoring customers who are looking for information, and more. I go out of my way to take my business elsewhere even if it is less convenient. The only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is that they do have a great selection of interesting games, RPGs and other odds and ends, and one of their workers...
