First time there since the renovation; lobby is beautiful and I love the big comfy, reclining chairs. The afternoon that I took my 2 granddaughters (ages 2 and 3) there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS and we were able to get popcorn and drinks relatively quickly. At the counter, as I got out my wallet for payment (all while juggling 2 kid's meals and my own popcorn) I told the gentleman/cashier that the children are 2 and 3 yrs. old and he abruptly said that everyone pays the same price on Tuesdays. He then told me to pick my seats and said sternly that we had to sit in the seats I had selected (once we got in and sat down, I realized WE WERE THE ONLY THREE IN THE THEATER). He handed me the tickets and said that I should make sure to give them to the ticket taker before entering the theater. As we started toward the theater, I realized that I did not have straws, I went to get them and dropped one of the kid's meals. The concession worker immediately began making a replacement and the gentleman/cashier called the ticket taker to clean up the mess and told him to make sure to take my tickets (which I had already given to him while both my hands were free and I was waiting for the kid's meal). Still, NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. Later I asked the cashier (who said he was "one of the mangers") why, when he saw me struggling to juggle my food and drinks and corral my granddaughters towards our theater, he couldn't have helped me out and torn my tickets and taken half at the cash register. He responded it's "NOT HIS JOB". While good customer service is sometimes hard to find I am always unpleasantly surprised when it doesn't come from management. I've shared this experience with family, friends and my co-workers at school and I can think of a lot of other places that I can take my granddaughters for $33.00 on a Tuesday afternoon with better...
Read moreI want to like this theater so much more than i do. The prices are fair with a awesome Tuesday deal ($6 all day). It has great seats and clear audio/video, but the projection people have no idea what their doing. I've been there 4 times and 2 of those experiences had issues. 1st movie I saw (kong skull island), the projector kept zooming and panning during the film so they could correct the video, but we were already 10 mins in and it took them a few mins to stop. The 4th time I went (ghost in the shell) the subtitles at bottom of screen were completely cut off, though we got lucky since they bounced around the screen. When we told someone at front after (hopefully to help next viewers) she clearly didn't care. My guess is it has something to do with their screens, which appear full screen shaped, not wide screen. What ever the cause, unless they step their game up i can't recommended it for anything other than cheap Tuesday tickets for movies you aren't excited for. If this had happened during like a marvel film, I'd have demanded a refund. So i really hope these end up being one offs and this local theater with so much...
Read moreArrived at 3PM Tuesday on 12/28/21 to see Spiderman. Displayed my ticket to the young lady in Auditorium 1 asking if we’re in the right place and she confirmed we were. Had the chicken strips which were cold. When I tried getting a beer I was told I had to wait until the movie started. Then when I came back I had to wait an additional 10 minutes. When the manager was behind the concession stand cleaning up popcorn it appeared he was avoiding eye contact when returning to another task. He took a good 10 seconds staring at my ID and me for the beer, when I’m a bald man in my mid fifties and not wearing a mask. After 20 minutes into the movie other guests arrived and were confused why we were in their seats. They went to the young lady that told us we were in the right auditorium only for her to tell us after the fact we should have been in auditorium 2 not 1. When I reminded her that she confirmed we were in the right auditorium all she could say was she was sorry. As a result we missed 30 minutes of the movie. My kids were disappointed by the experience. We will not...
