I just had a very unpleasant experience! Computers were down, staff weren't helpful even they behaved nasty. I would like to know if those people hate their job, they don't get paid well or it is the way to treat people when they can't afford Business or Polaris. What Do you Do when You are at the airport: Travel Ready, Inmigration Ticket Ready, Boarding Passes Print out, Luggage with the Tag on, but your infant doesn't have his full name in the screen. Now, how has the fault? How is going to fix it? While Nobody was able to help efficiently we ended at Station H where Customer Service isn't aware that their job is to HELP people to solve an unexpected situation. However, they pretend that they don't know that you have been jumping from one station to the other trying to Find a Solution and even though you have been with a staff member after you patient impatiently made a line everywhere they told you, now they Don't know Who You Are and Ask You with NO Courtesy to make the line again. Tell Me, what I said to my Senior parents, sister-in-law, niece and nephew when they already woke up at 3 in the morning to be at the airport on time for a 7:40 a.m. flight, and it is almost 9 a.m. and the problem wasn't solved. Does anyone travel with a 2 years old autistic princess, and an infant, and my dad who is 73 and just finished the first session of Radiotherapy and My Mom with more than 7 surgeries on her head and then you go to the airport and because one of the names in your crew isn't correct you just stuck there until you lost...
Read moreSecurity at the United economy 🤢😰🤢🤮🤮🤮. We were early but not super early but they made it so stressful. Also bags got pulled just bc the security lady (short slicked back hair very loud w horn rimmed glasses and short lady) was in a mood so she decides to hold back a line to teach everyone a lesson. Nice way to come back to the States to see the delightful people that represent our wonderful country and the attitudes they have torwards their job. All it does is discourage people from traveling through their airport. It was like a line at Disneyland with no fast pass.... economy has to go down a floor, check stuff then line up to go up a floor and line to get on escalator even has a line....it's just zig and zag your way slowly through the airport. When you get to security it's just so so bad. They opened my luggage to tell me my travel lotion I purchased at the travel section at Target was not TSA size so they threw it out. That's why I bought it but it was about a 25 min delay bc of my travel lotion in my carry-on. And the bag has already been through 3 different security checkpoints on this trip with no problem. Ugh someone needs to retool the security process....on the screens it's, if you have Clear or TSA precheck etc it's 2 mins to get through. The rest of the plebians it's 45 min which is actually more like an hour+ to get...
Read moreShockingly bad. I'm a seasoned traveller of well over 50 years. The attitude displayed at United Airlines bag drop was so rude. Staff stood chatting to each other whilst my wife and I negotiated the technology. When the staff member eventually entered conversation she was abrupt, with absolutely no manners. Eye rolling and sighing appeared to be her best qualities as she told us how she wanted the cases positioned and straps removed. We complained to a guy who appeared supervisory he blamed it on 3rd party contractors and said that he doesn't use the airport but drives overnight to his place in FLA. Then on to the security where we followed the barriers for an eternity and became like the New Jersey half marathon. We ended up at the next apathetic checkpoint security. No instructions or guidance it was an absolute shambles. Handwritten does and don't at the xray machines and more staff engrossed in conversation with each other. Whilst we guessed the procedure...shoes on or off, laptops in or out, belts on or off, bags in trays or out...who knows? The ony glimmer of positivity in this chaos was the great service and food at the sports type bar...
