What a special day we had on board Lyra with On Watch Sailing. Our friend is getting married in Oct and we wanted to do something different to celebrate the upcoming nuptials. Our "classy bachelorette" party had a nautical theme- a sail in Newport Harbor would be the highlight. Captain Green made us feel right at home on his gorgeous sail boat. He was knowledgeable of the area, and was very flexible- not overdoing the "tour" if we'd rather close our eyes and just listen to the beautiful sounds of the ocean. We thoroughly enjoyed every second of the sail and would highly recommend to anyone looking to be educated about the area, learn a little about sailing - or someone that needs a little "recharge" from their crazy life. Hands down the best private charter you can book. Spent an afternoon on the boat with my husband and 3 young kids. There was a light constant drizzle when we arrived and right off the bat the Captain was quick to offer us a chance to reschedule. We were so looking forward to being on the boat that we didn’t mind a sprinkle. The weather cleared and although the wind was light we managed. Captain Green was so wonderful with our kids, letting them pilot the boat, teaching them knots and encouraged them try “bottle fishing” (a plastic bottle attached to a rope and trolling- who knew it could provide such entertainment!!!!) would absolutely book another charter in a heartbeat.
