Cameron has been my barber for close to 3 years as of now; he has always had my back professionally and even more with his authentic touch as a person. Whenever I need my weekly beard trim to look sharp before an event, or a detailed haircut every month, Cameron will listen carefully and interpret my ideas and vibe of the style I’m going for and give me a haircut and beard trim that is often even more to my liking than the images I had in my head before heading over to the hair studio. I personally take pride in the facial hair I do have and am particular about how I like it to look; for that reason Cameron is the perfect barber for me because as of now, being a quick study, he knows exactly how I like to look. When I need a haircut as well as a beard trim, we always have a good conversation about my style preferences. I have to say the guy just simply knows how to take the personal vision of his clients and bring their hair/and or beard to the next level. If you're looking for a premium cut at a moderate price, this is definitely the place. Recently moved back to the area and was looking for a good barber that wasn't crazy expensive ($80-100+), that was also not the bad to mediocre quality haircut you tend to usually get at the cheap salons like super cuts or great clips. The atmosphere at Beantown Barber is relaxing and chill, and Cameron was easy to have a nice chat with. I usually like to wait a while between cuts and he didn't seem bothered at all, which was a nice plus over the cheaper places that tend to get annoyed. Knew his stuff too when recommending a product for my hair type to give it a little lift without looking greasy or overly shiny. It's down a floor in the big salon building and you have to get buzzed in so it was a little tricky to find the first visit, but not too bad. Cameron has been my barber for over 2 years now, starting with my first post-pandemic chop and I’ve been coming back regularly ever since. I don’t think I ask for a super complex cut (inch off the top, 3 on the sides, fade the back) but somehow the results from other barbers are all over the place (seriously, who does a flat top anymore). That’s what you get from Cam: consistent and exactly what you ask for. He might ask a follow up question to be sure, but I appreciate the thoroughness when it come to my hair. And now that he has his own little shop, he has enough time for a shampoo, get the framing all nice, straight edge razor finish, you know… a deluxe hair cut.
