These guys are truly incredible. I needed a new battery for my MacBook pro. I called a few places. One place didn't have it in stock, I'd have to wait days and it was really pricey. Another place literally told me "The battery is expensive and extremely difficult to remove. Honestly it's not worth it." TechRescue had my battery in stock (it's a 2015!!!) and when I dropped it off, I asked if I could have it back same day not expecting much at 2pm and they said no problem! AND it was affordably priced AND they even cleaned my (admittedly gross) screen for me! And the cherry on top: they texted me afterwards making sure everything was working well. It had started having a different battery issue and without hesitation they told me to bring it back and replaced the battery again for free.
When I went back, the guy was standing outside in the scorching sun with a customer, working on their computer. I later asked him why they were outside and he said the customer was uncomfortable being inside the store due to the wifi. I just thought it was so compassionate and kind, and it was really HOT out. I don't think a lot of people would have done the same.
This is the kind of place I'd keep coming back to even if I moved far away. A really genuine, honest and fairly priced store.
You don't need an appointment. They seem to have a really good back stock of rare parts. They'll do same day service. They have parking in the back.
Please don't...
Read moreThe GPS on my Samsung Note 5 stopped working and, after figuring out what was likely wrong, doing a bunch of research on the solution was referred to these guys by another phone repair place that couldn't fix it. So I called with a very specific question about what it would cost to have the part replaced and was treated to an absurd, asinine, around-in-circles conversation with a bored-sounding, condescending guy who claimed to be the manager.
My question was very straightforward - whether they could replace a specific part, and if so what it would cost. The guy kept telling me that they couldn't diagnose the problem without cracking the phone, and I kept explaining to him that I didn't need a diagnosis, what I needed was a quote on the repair. The dude kept on just completely ignoring the question and using every little sleazoid salesman trick to try to get me to drive 5 miles out there and leave the phone with them for three days.
And he was obnoxious about it - he kept saying that he couldn't "diagnose a phone based on a google search" as though that's what I asked him to do, when all I wanted was a...
Read moreI had my iPhone glass replaced. I drop my phone every day and therefore had a few barely noticeable cracks, so I brought it in. Next day, I dropped my phone (per usual) and the glass cracked in multiple places - the only thing holding it together was the screen protector. I went back to ask them about it - they said that âit was dropped and therefore not their responsibilityâ - he said this with his back to me as he walked out the door â Genius.
Iâm writing to suggest you ask the QUALITY of glass they will be using before handing over your phone.
Another fun fact - when I was originally getting the repair - a man behind me was hoping to pick up his hard drive. The guy at the desk said he couldnât find it - and that the owner was the only person who could help him, but he had no idea where the owner was, or when he was to return. âCan you come back in a few days?â Needless to say, the guy was pretty unhappy as he needed his hard drive (as one does) yet the desk guy showed absolutely no remorse, no apology, nothing.
Iâm still shocked...
