I was a vendor at this market for almost a year. Customers need to know about what is going on here and future vendors are warned. I came to this market to sell my goods and to hopefully make this a better market. From the time I arrived, I was bullied by another vendor, Mike (Broken Arm Mama). The on site manager did what he could but the owner Diane (who she and her husband gave their own market 5 stars on this site to boost their reviews) could care less. It came down to Mike attacking my stand and damaging my tent and coming at my husband. The proof was there but Diane would not believe Mike would do something like that. I did not call the police like I should have respecting her wishes and trying to not bring down the market. But Mike had no problem calling the police on my husband and the police found in our favor and wanted us to press charges against him. We did not and tried to put the incident behind us and move on. Diane's response to this was to keep this violent individual as a vendor and told us we had to leave the market as a vendor. This market owner is bias. She does not enforce her own rules equally across the board with all vendors. We are not the only vendor who has had issues with this market and with the way...
Read moreThe variety the vendors offered where okay but, when I last went to the flea market at Palm Plaza, it was after the harvest of most veggies. The fresh or jarred/canned where over priced, considered peak of season. The number of vendors selling veggies was numerous. The vendors offering non food items were few n they, too were rich. My idea of a flea market is: availability of fruit n veggies, fresh, canned or jarred, below cost of what grocery stores have and the vendors offering non food items set up with prices that can be purchased by all, which includes those on fixed incomes. Also, at flea markets I have gone to have vendors offering very reasonable priced handmade items from wooden toys to quilts. The flea market, besides the fruit n veggie vendors have very few offering "flea market value pricing" Don't believe I will return there...
Read moreThis was a pleasant surprise that I found out about on Facebook. Took my chances to stop by to see it for myself. The weather wasn't really that great for that day...it was wet and windy but the local farmers were determined to be there and I greatly appreciated their determination for that. It was nice to be able to have some fresh veggies and my husband found him some sweet confections as well. We need to support our local farmers especially since there doesn't seem to be too many of them left. Hats off to all our...
