Neifeh was hired to design and make a custom wedding band. They provided several options, via drawings, and my bride to be and I chose one. The drawing was converted to a wax mold. We visited the store and discussed several concerns about the mold. We all agreed the revisions would be implemented into another wax mold for review. Instead, they chose to cast the ring. We visited Naifeh two more times before the ring was completed and had the same concerns. Each time, they said the ring wasn’t finished yet and our concerns would be addressed as they finished whittling the casting into a finished ring. When we visited the store to review the finished ring, the same concerns still existed.
Many conversations ensued. Once we finally got through the excuses, blaming, and lies (aka: misunderstandings, according to them) they agreed the drawings they provided (the only thing they provided us to begin with) were not representative of the final product and were never intended to be representative. What?!?! You provide drawings that were never intended to represent the final product? For reference, the drawings they provided showed the wedding band next to the engagement band. Neifeh said that making the final product match the agreed upon drawing would be much more money. Despite the frustration and drama from Neifeh, my fiancé and I agreed to the price increase.
2nd Ring: Like the first ring, there were several trips to the store to review things. This time, though, Neifeh’s progress was much slower. For several weeks, we voiced concerns about their lack of progress vs our wedding date. We were told that other customers were ahead of us (not sure how we got bumped to the back of the line), but were assured the ring would be ready in time for the wedding.
This time around, each of our visits had Janice and one of the two managers present to ensure our concerns were properly addressed. And, in spite of the slow progress, they were doing better listening to our concerns about the ring design. Each step of the way, from the wax mold to the rough casting to the finished ring, the physical ring gets a little smaller each time. This is normal. The final product was still too large, though. The band on the wedding band was disproportionately larger than the band on the engagement ring.
The ‘finished’ wedding band was ready for review the day before our wedding. Despite our dissatisfaction with the ring, we decided that having a wedding band for our wedding was the priority and accepted the ring with the caveat we could return it to be fixed. One or two weeks after the wedding, my wife dropped the ring back off and repeated her prior concerns.
After a few weeks of no contact, Neifeh was contacted for an update. They said they would charge us more money to make the breadth of the wedding band match the engagement band. They said we accepted the ring, despite voicing concerns, when we left the store with it the day before our wedding.
Looking back at the situation, I strongly question Neifeh’s integrity and attention to detail…both of which should be paramount for a jewelry store. Neifeh only provided drawings of a ring…then Neifeh said we, the customer, should not expect the finished product to look like the drawing. Then, Neifeh, slow played their progress to complete the ring just one day before the scheduled wedding date and say that leaving the store with the ring is full acceptance?!?!
Neifeh: Legally, you’re probably right about that. Morally, you should be ashamed...
Read moreI’ve been a customer of Naifeh for over 10 years and because of their customer service, I will continue to be a customer for a long time to come. My wife and I swung by to have her wedding and engagement ring inspected and cleaned. While we were there, we decided to look at some of their beautiful, unique pieces and a few caught my wife’s eye. Andrew, the GM, was very friendly and helped my wife try a few of them on. She picked out a ring but as luck would have it, it wasn’t her size (off by a half inch). Knowing that I wouldn’t buy something and leave the store with nothing, Andrew offered to let my wife wear the ring out while we waited for her size to come in. Needless to say, my wife...
Read moreI went into Naifeh to ask about getting an appraisal for a ring. I was helped by Kaycee, and she was very kind and extremely helpful. I ended up trying on engagement rings while I was there, and she took lots of time with me to show me the different rings and styles. She started a wish list for me. My boyfriend wanted to come in and look at the rings the following week and she was very pleasant, helpful in describing the difference in the different settings, the different colors of diamonds along with clarity. Our service was outstanding. Kaycee was nothing but helpful...
