[My rating is for the mall only. Honestly, until six months ago there was no reason to go to this mall ever. It's not a bad mall, its clean and nice, though a bit small, it just had the lamest selection of stores of any mall I've ever been.] My review is really for the following: But as of Fall 2012, it now has the best movie theater in all of Central Arkansas, the best theater in 140 miles actually. The Regal Cinema located inside the mall is the best around. It has the best projectors and the best audio and the best seating. The RPX Grande Screen is fantastic. It's all 4k Sony projectors except the RPX, which is a high end Barco 4k. They can also do HFR movies, which no other theater in Central Arkansas seems capable of (HFR=High Frame Rate or 48+fps, currently only The Hobbit uses this, but The Hobbit in HFR at the McCain Regal RPX was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. It looked more 3d than real life, and usually I don't even like 3d.) Yes, this theater is better than the Rave by miles (the Rave's new extreme screen is a joke, the picture and sound are the worst I've ever seen/heard and they want to charge extra for it! Ha!) and even better than the Lie-Max in Chenal (read my review of the Chenal Dickenson, its not really an Imax, they are lying to you and charging you extra for nothing, there is no Imax projector there, and they have admitted it to me.) And as of December 2012, the food court has Mr. Dunderbak's. It's a fantastic place serving freshmade pretzels with port wine cheese, like 8 kinds of yummy frank/brat/sausage, plus 4 kinds of vegan brats and even gluten free buns if thats your thing, plus a full deli with fresh sliced meats for sandwiches, lamb gyros, baklava, pastries, IBC bottled root beer or real beer if thats your thing (yes, beer in the mall, who would have thought they could even do that?). It's worth the trip just to have lunch at Mr....
Read moreI never take myself shopping.. the one day I go with my friends.. I brought my severe special needs disabled child with me. In the mall my child started having a huge meltdown. He was screaming and not doing very good. Which it is normal behavior for a special needs child in a new environment. My arms where hurting so bad because he is so heavy and strong.. this is going on for 10 minutes. So I thought that food and some little candy would cheer him up. The closet place to get that stuff for me was the movie theater.. it was also empty in the lobby so I felt that it is the perfect place to calm him down.. I bought him some candy.. I think it was m&ms.. and it was in a box.. he can only eat certain foods.. He also have problems grabbing foods and the box he couldn’t put his hand through the box to grab the candy and I couldn’t help because I had to hold him.. I cant put him down to walk. I asked the manager at the theater if he could have a small bag so that he could grab his candy.. I told her that I would pay for the small bag. She charged me for the price of a small popcorn. I told her that I only want to pay for the bag. She said no and that I have to pay the price of the popcorn to have the bag... this woman saw the major struggle with her eyes and still treated me like me and my son were nobody in this world. This is the worst type of human that walks on this...
Read moreWelcome to 1988. This mall has for sure seen it's heyday. That heyday was Longggg ago. Old Mall that's definitely showing signs of age in 2024.
(Mens restroom stall doors won't lock and they are dirty)
The kiosk in center of the mall are full of cheap jewelry and fake gold. Or out of date cell phone products also available.
The mall is often very empty including a lack of shoppers and a dwindling down of stores in which to shop.
The food court is now missing many locations This mall no longer has a Chick-fil-A or an arcade.
The stores here lack shoppers and some seem to even lack employees at many locations. Everyone here seems to be depressed and in drab moods. Not a single smile seen here today on anyone's face.
This would be a good location to be finally be torn down and something far more with the land underneath.
Lack of decent stores eating places and general entertainment.
It really is a wonder this mall still has the lights turned on here. Not sure how that's even possible. I could only assume Dillards is paying the power bill. Pro- Lots of available parking! More police/ Security than shoppers and...
