There has yet to be a day that I have gone into this IHOP location and actually been able to walk out of there with an order that I came in for a timely fashion. Today takes the cake though. I came in this IHOP at 1:38 PM to pick up two different orders and after sitting in the restaurant until 2:08 PM I still had not received either of those two orders. I continued to ask different people about the orders so that they could go check on them for me, but although they would go to the back, they would never return to the front to say anything about the status of the orders. After leaving out of the restaurant, and finally dropping the two DoorDash orders, since it was such an excessive amount of time, I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. The manager then tries to inform me that the reason the orders are behind is because it is a Sunday. They are busy and they are shortstaffed in the kitchen. The manager at this point those excuses are not things that I am willing to accept because after asking so many times about the orders that was never communicated with me, he states he will let the workers know that anytime a dasher comes in To let them know that it will be a delay. This is beyond frustrating, knowing that the orders that we come to IHOP for are simply paying us around around four dollars and you have to drive them to wherever their destination is after the fact but you spend 30 minutes inside the restaurant waiting for the order as if you place the order once you walked in the door. However, I was watching people come in, sat down, make orders, and have the orders thrown out to the table. This was simply not doing the online orders. It is very evident that the IHOP staff does not care about third-party workers who come to pick up delivery orders. I will know in the future to never come back to that location anytime I get an order because if this is the type of service that I’ll receive it would be more beneficial for me to...
Read moreWe have been going to this IHOP off and on for around eight years. For the first year or so, we ate there almost every Wednesday night after church. The food was good, and the service was fairly quick. Then somewhere along the way the food became sloppy and the service EXTREMELY slow. For instance, we might wait 15 minutes to be seated, then another 15 minutes to have our drink order taken. Another 15 minutes to received our drinks, and before you know it, we’ve been there for an hour and still haven’t ordered any food! Once the food was finally ordered, it could be another 30 minutes before it was delivered. And the slow service couldn’t be blamed on the place being busy. We were usually one of only five or six tables in the whole place. One time we even walked out after sitting at our table for 45 minutes waiting to have our drink order taken!
We finally gave up on this IHOP because who wants to arrive at a restaurant at 9:00pm and not be able to leave until close to midnight on a work night?! After about a year of giving up on it, we tried again to see if things had changed. NOPE. Still slow and sloppy! We’ve tried again about once a year ever since, and it never changes.
Sometime in the past year IHOP decided to remodel the McCain location. Who knows how much it cost them to put down new floors and build that useless wall that totally obscures the restrooms from view... but what they should have done was spend a little money on hiring clean, fast, polite, staff who are actually capable of taking an order, delivering it correctly and in a timely manner, and who don’t run out to the back by the dumpsters for a cigarette every five minutes.
I’m sorry, but after tonight’s experience, I think we’re giving up hope of this IHOP ever getting better. It’s been about seven years since it went downhill, and we’re tired of giving it...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went in late last night for a late dinner/early breakfast. Besides the table that was already done with their food we were the only other customers in there. Our server, Melody, was absolutely horrible, she was dragging her feet everywhere, mumbling and managed to mess both of our orders. When we ordered our meals she didn’t write it down, I made sure to ask that there were no eggs on my sandwich and she told me it didn’t come with any. When she brought out our meals I immediately saw the egg and asked her why there was egg when she told me there wasn’t any. She then went on to tell us that she didn’t know the menu and just told me it didn’t have eggs just because. When my sandwich came back I realized it wasn’t even what I ordered, thankfully a lady who i assume was the manager came and got it fixed for us because our server us was nowhere to be found. once I finally got my meal she immediately brought the check. after we paid she sat there and waited for us to tip her, using the excuse that she needed her pen back because it was the only one she had, mind you we were the only table there at that point. Both my boyfriend and I are servers and we understand having off days or being new to a late night shift. But telling customers you don’t know the menu isn’t an excuse, putting in the wrong order after not writing it down, standing by your one and only table after they paid waiting to be tipped with the excuse of “it’s my only pen” is not okay. She obviously wasn’t using her pen. I have never not tipped someone but with service like that she doesn’t deserve to be working in customer...
