The Zoo Health Club — Attraction in North Palm Beach

I went to this gym based on the reviews and can tell you that after having been there for three months, it is clear to me that the reviews must have been paid for or created by fake reviewers.

The gym is not clean, it is quite disgusting. The equipment is old (some even have rust on them!), hand held weights are falling apart, props are poorly organized and also falling apart. In addition to the monthly charge, there is a once a year charge for "improvements". I cannot see where any of the revenue is being used for improvements. You can get protein shakes there, which seems good, but if you examine the ingredients they use, you will see they are poor, cheap quality. The so-called "spa like" bathrooms are anything but; the showers are tiny, full of mold and mildew (Tilex people!!), not enough room to get ready for post workout dressing. They just put some tacky italian-theme wallpaper and a basket of cheap toiletries, and called it "spa-like". The members and the staff are pompous, vain and pretentious.

One good thing is there are a couple good instructors but that is not enough to overcome the myriad of negatives.

Don't be fooled by fake reviews. Avoid Zoo...

This gym is a lot slower and less packed then many others gyms in south Florida, which is cool. The woman that signed me up was awesome (I don't remember her name, Lisa maybe?) The locker rooms are SUPER nice and it's awesome that the women's locker room is full of any toiletries we could possibly need.

My only two complaints:

The lack of yoga mats. Yes, there are the tri-fold thick black mats but those don't work for when I don't want to get scrapped up on the turf while doing hip thrusts.

This might just be me, but the last couple times I've been here, there's a young girl at the front desk that just seems like she can't be bothered whenever I have to speak to her. She didn't offer me a locker key and I didn't want to even ask for one after how annoyed she seemed when I wanted to buy a water. Every single other time I've come in, I've been greeted with a smile and offered a locker key when whoever is at the desk sees my bag. Again, I'm possibly reading into this wrong as I struggle to gauge people's body language and tone but just something that did rub me...

I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to all the staff, including the owner Dennis StGermain, for making Zoo Gym North Palm Beach such an exceptional facility. As a loyal member, I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of service, equipment, and atmosphere that the gym provides.

From the friendly and welcoming staff to the well-maintained facilities, it is clear that every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a top-notch experience for gym-goers. I have also been impressed with the variety of equipment available, which has allowed me to achieve my fitness goals with ease.

Most importantly, the sense of community that the gym fosters is what truly sets Zoo Gym apart. Whether it's through group fitness classes or personal training sessions, I always feel supported and encouraged to reach my full potential.

Overall, I would highly recommend Zoo Gym North Palm Beach to anyone looking for a first-class gym experience. Thank you again to Dennis and the entire staff for creating such a wonderful fitness...
