Review for TJ Maxx Store #80070 – 2430 PGA Boulevard, Prosperity Centre

I’ve been a loyal and frequent customer of TJ Maxx for many years and have always enjoyed shopping at the Prosperity Centre location. The staff is usually friendly, the store is well-organized, and I’ve had many positive experiences — which makes it difficult for me to write this.

Recently, I visited the store and found a jade necklace on sale for $80. However, I noticed an identical necklace that was marked at the regular price of $59.99. I brought this to the store manager’s attention, expecting that TJ Maxx would honor the lower price or at least provide a clear explanation. Instead, I was told that the lower-priced item was a mistake, and rather than adjusting the higher price, they raised the price of the lower one to $80 as well.

I returned the next day to give them another chance to make it right, but the manager, Sev Plaziak, and again refused to honor the original $59.99 price, despite admitting the error. I found this response very disappointing and, frankly, unfair. It felt misleading from a customer standpoint — especially when the items are identical and clearly marked...

Kristina!! I shop at all of the TJ Maxx‘s in Palm Beach County. Every time I come to this store, I see Kristina working her butt off with a huge smile. She is never sitting in one place. Her sleeves are rolled up and she is staying busy, ensuring that the store is neat and presentable. Additionally, I’ve overheard her communicating with her employees. She speaks with them with such respect. She treats them like family. Over the holidays, she was always festively dressed up with her signature beautiful smile, and she was putting smiles on the faces of all of the staff members. Everybody was getting their work done, but they were also having fun talking about Holiday recipes, etc. Whenever I have something specific to purchase (like today - a dress), I go out of my way to visit this store because of Kristina and how she runs it. Hands-down, this is my favorite TJ Maxx in Palm Beach County, and Kristina seems to be here every time I visit, which pretty much says it all. The store is wonderful; check out is a nightmare..... I was second in line out of 3. They always seem to have five, six, sometimes even seven register lights on. To me that means there are 5, 6 or 7 registers open... No... There never seems to be more then 2. The poor women behind the register not only has to ring sales but take refunds as well. As the line backs up with more then 6 of us waiting now she calls for back up, 15 mins later someone shows up. Yes, I was second in line and 15 mins later I was still waiting. It took almost 25 mins to check out, very frustrating.

The fact that there were six lights on and only 2 people there is just ridiculous. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the people that were at the other registers were just grabbing something for a customer, but no.
