North Platte Area Children's Museum — Attraction in North Platte

Fun place to play, DO NOT BOOK A PARTY IF IT MIGHT SNOW. Staff was incredibly rude on the phone asking to reschedule a birthday party booked weeks in advance because it might snow tomorrow. Tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor by offering a discount to reschedule. I am in the service industry and have owned a business for the last 5 years. The decision to cancel last minute was obviously due to staff laziness not the weather. Deposit on rental paid weeks ahead, 30+ invites went out, food and cake ordered, and less than 24 hours notice it's canceled because of typical Nebraska weather. Inflexible, inconsiderate, condisending voice tone during the call. All behavior from the woman I spoke to was the opposite of how you'd expect to be spoken to by someone who runs a place like this. No one can control the weather but we can each control how we speak to people and how we conduct ourselves in a respectful way. They didn't apologize at all. They insinuated that I was being unreasonable by not gleefully agreeing...

Great place for kids to roam and play through multiple themed areas. The yearly pass is a great deal and is a good place to have kids do birthday parties and events.

They do have a minor issue of stuff being damaged by rambunctious children and they do their best to repair/replace those items

A Keurig is in one area for parents to access.

Some of the areas are somewhat difficult for an adult to access, one is a construction area with a 5 ft door and ceiling and I'm 6'3", but that is rather minimal

PROS: My kids (3yo and 10mo) had so much fun and that’s what matters the most and it was a great price! CONS: There was lots of little garbage on the ground and I just felt gross being in there. Felt dirty. We were told we had to clean up after ourselves after we left each room which I do not mind at all but it was strange to me. I’ve never been to a kids play place that did that.
