This is a Korean gastropub that opened up last year. It’s still kind of unknown since when we went, it wasn’t very busy. This place is not huge and seating can be limited, depending on the day and time you go. Like other reviewers said, the service is top notch. They are very attentive and kind. The parking lot is shared with other businesses. Prices are very fair. Food portions are generous, you won’t go hungry. We ordered bulgogi japchae, half shrimp half bulgogi k-pizza, snowy pork cutlet, honey garlic bone-in wings, and ice fruit punch bowl.
-bulgogi japchae 5 - it has a bit of a kick to it but it’s very good. Bulgogi was plentiful. -half shrimp half bulgogi k-pizza 5 - star of the show. I really loved that pastry crust and it was cheesy too. One k-pizza is not enough. -snowy pork cutlet 5 - very large portion. Pork cutlet with cheese. The meat was tender. -honey garlic wings 5 - very crunchy skin and meaty. Honestly, as long as you order any kind of wings you’ll be good. The meat was tender and succulent. -ice fruit punch bowl 5 - this is a good dessert at the end of a heavy meal but it is huge. Best to share this with 3 or more people. There is some ice cream inside that ice...
Read more5 star service and atmosphere, 4 star food. Definitely will come back to try other things!
New place so not many specific food reviews so I’ll elaborate on some dishes: Fried chicken: very crispy, juicy inside came fresh and hot - love that they give a honey garlic dipping sauce even with the regular chicken - would recommend 5/5 Snails: super spicy but yummy, noodles came overcooked and clumped together tho- tasty but if you can’t handle super spicy then definitely pass - 4/5 Pizza: if you’re expecting real pizza then don’t order. It’s puff pastry (thinner and weaker than thin crust) with some toppings. Decent as a shared anju/appetizer but not memorable and we will skip next time 3/5
Ambiance is great though music is a touch too loud - you can still hear your table if you speak loudly though. Clean modern vibes with a private room too (saw seating for 6). Great vibes and super friendly staff - we will be back to try...
Read moreI went to Fun Beer King for the first time back in November. The interior was chill and pretty small compared to the other Korean pubs. When we got seated, they served "ramyunttang" as a complimentary, which was tasty and nostalgic. My friends and I tried the half shrimp & bulgogi pastry pizza, honey garlic boneless ($25.99), and spicy fish cake soup ($24.99). I loved the slight kick that the spicy fish cake soup gave. It was perfect on a chilly day. I like my bone-in chicken, but the boneless chicken was pretty solid. For the pizza, surprisingly, I loved the flaky texture of the pizza crust. It exceeded my expectations. Nothing really called my name on the menu at first, but I'm excited to go back and try other items on the menu. It's a place with a fun and modern twist to...
