Literally hate posting a negative review...my most sincere hope is that ownership restores this location to it's original splendor. I must admit it was a little discouraging to see what appears to be an AC unit covered with a tarp weighted down by one of the dining chairs at the main entrance. I guess everybody's working on something and obviously they're planning for some sort of upgrade, so I remain hopeful. I don't expect to be entertained by the staff but to say they were dry is an understatement. So dry, we and a family that came behind us opted to use the kiosk. The lone cashier stood with her head down as if she hoped we wouldn't ask her for help. It was surprising to walk into an empty restaurant where almost all tables were soiled. An employee did emerge and began cleaning while we walked around looking for a clean table. Our order was delivered to our table which I thought was really nice. On previous visits our number was called and we returned to the counter to retrieve it. On this visit, though the delivery was nice, it was not the correct order. The employee that delivered it recognized it right away when she returned to the table to deliver the egg that was supposed to be on the sandwich. She promptly returned the tray to the kitchen for correction. This is where I was prompted to write this review... The prep cook was audibly complaining about having to fix the order, even though It was clearly wrong. The ticket on the tray was correct. I do feel uneasy about sending food back, which I was reluctant to do. Believe me, I would opt to just eat it and not come back, but the counter person pulled the tray away, insisting that they could fix it. I appreciate the effort, but hearing a complaint about it was a bit disheartening. I was almost hesitant to eat the food. Burgers were delicious. Though, this is my first time having one there with a pink center. I do like my burgers this way but I can't recall ever having it...
Read moreBeen coming to Glenview BurgerFi since opened several years ago now. Torrential rain on way home. Both wrung out after hump day. BurgerFi on menu. Arrived @ 7pm. There were 5 people and 3 orders ahead of me. Unheard of! Average Wed. Eve @ 7pm is 20-30 people seated and12 to 15 in line to order. It can take 15 to 25 minutes to get your turn to order at which time you pay for your order; and another 25 minutes to receive order. Tonight, it took 3 minutes to order & pay and less than 10 minutes to receive order. Staff is busy doing job. Often very smily, and leading exchange processing order. Facility is always clean.
For newcomers: menu board study is important, I suggest you ask for the foldout menu, take a seat and absorb & sort the breakdown of burgers, dogs, fries, shakes and drinks. Note: Cryin' Fries = big fried onion rings + French fries...then you can add "Fry Toppings" a few of which are: Salt & Vinegar; Cheese Sauce; and my favorite - Parmesan & Herbs...got to tell - I am not inclined to food passions, but BurgerFi's Cryin' Fries with Parmesan & Herbs is the best thing since French Fries & Onion Rings...careful, dangerously addictive.
No doubt, BurgerFi has hit on a premium burger & hotdog business plan that allows you to order your favorite burger or dog just the way you like it, with some new age teas, lemonades, shakes, dine in on spare, retro, fairly uncomfortable tables & chairs...or dine out. This with the privilege of paying on the order $33.99 for 1 BAD Burger, 1 BurgerFi Cheeseburger; 1 Cryin' Fries w/Parmesan & Herbs; 1 vanilla & 1 Mocha shakes. This is classified as a treat in our household. The product is really good, but just can't help but cringe a little as I pay. Sorry, but I come from farming family, father grew up during 1930's depression. This truly is a 2 or 3 times a year indulgence. Special place for a...
Read moreWill never be returning to this place no matter how close it is to me. Have had 3 different issues with this establishment, and the last issue was the last straw. There was an offer last week for buy 1 burger, get the other burger for $1. Called in my order, confirmed the offer, and had my mother pick up for me and pay in store. She came home and I saw I was charged full price! I called to complain and was put on hold for over 15 minutes (would have been faster to go in but I have 3 kids and one is a newborn and not convenient to head out)
After finally getting a hold of manager JOE, he was rude about explaining that I had to order in the store to get the promotion. In their Facebook it did not say it excluded phone orders. And the lady that took my order told me I would be charged the promotional price in store. He told me there was nothing he could do and hung up as it was not his problem that the order was taken by a call center and out of his hands
I called the call center and they told me to talk to the manager again because he absolutely had the authority to correct my order. I called back as did my husband and we got the same rude response. Joe is rude and has horrible customer service.
Wrote an email to the customer service head quarters and got no response. I have been a patron to this establishment since it opened and to be dismissed like this is disappointing.
Will advice all my friends And family against this place and head to Five Guys where it is cheaper, and you don't get charged extra for lettuce. A little further out of my way, but rather take my business elsewhere.
One star since there is no zero star
UPDATE: Received an email from customer service stating they will be forwarding my complaint to the store. Haven't heard back... poor customer service. Continued to be disappointed...
