LA Nail Bar & Lashes — Attraction in Norwalk

They were great until I brought my cousin here and they dropped a tool for her pedicure and continued to use it on her and she got a nasty toe infection a day and a half later. Had to take her to urgent care for antibiotics. Took 3weeks to recover. When I brought it to their attention, the owner had a talk with the lady that did her toes and that nail tech was PISSED. The owner said she was waiting for her husband so they can talk to me but she left and never came back…🙃 Went again with my little sister and they dropped the tool on the ground again. Never went back. I have photos of the toe but my cousin asked me not to share it.

• Update * There’s no way to respond to the owners comment so I’ll update. I was told by the female owner that I would receive a call back later that day. No call. You’re making it sound like I’m lying and I wanted a full refund..? My cousin did a mani/pedi and I only did a pedi. I only wanted her pedi refunded. And yes she is out of town she lives in Vegas sir. Getting her nails done while she was in town was my birthday gift to her and I felt absolutely awful that this happened. So I went on her behalf. She was embarrassed and with a newborn. I wasn’t going to ask her to go back. I’ll post the photo of her toe a day and a half after and how it was a few days after since you so desperately want to see a gross toe. We sat there at PIH in Downey for her infection and they prescribed antibiotics and then some. I have no proof just word of mouth and I’m NOT going to ask her for proof. How she chooses to proceed is on her.

Like I previously mentioned. This place was amazing. Met the daughter/niece or granddaughter on a Saturday last year and she was amazing too. Girl at the front desk was super nice and friendly about the whole situation that day. I took my special needs brother a few times and everyone was friendly and accepting of him.

My cousin is a non problematic and non confronting person so I tried letting it go but I realized (yes months later) while looking for a new place, that reviews matter. I don’t care for a refund now but the public has the right to know what they’re paying for. I understand you’re running a business and are looking out for your best interest but I’m not scamming or anything just alerting the public.Whether anyone chooses to believe me or not is on them. Looks to be under new management. After talking to one of the ladies, it’s family owned and run. I love the new vibe and checking in process and they do amazing work.

Update 10/1/ 2024

About a year ago (I posted a screenshot as my receipt for this fact), I wasn't happy with the location I was going to for nail services, so I decided to give LA Nail & Lashes a try. I remember my very first time coming here it was under different management, and my manicurist was Kate. I loved how Kate did my nails, so I returned. The next time I visited, it was under new family-owned management, and the atmosphere felt more lively, so I decided to come here more often. The place has undergone many changes, such as changing its staff and upgrading the old pedicure massage chairs to new ones. Throughout the year, my wife and I have been attended to by our favorite manicurists and pedicurists Kate's sisters, Sally and Mya. Although Kate primarily does lashes now, she still will do manicures and pedicures and does a phenomenal job. These sisters do a fantastic job, and I highly recommend them.

This Tuesday evening, I came for a manicure and pedicure, and I highly recommend the Volcano Deluxe pedicure because it's a beautiful experience with excellent results. After choosing my manicure and pedicure, the receptionist gave me a drink menu. They have a fantastic variety of drinks, but I chose a water bottle for today. My service took about an hour, and my total was nearly $80 without a tip.

This is an update to change my previous rating from a 3 to a 5. Since new MGMT, I had one bad experience many months ago, but gave them the benefit of a doubt. I was also very pleased with the immediate response by MGMT that displayed their genuine care for their customers. The coupons helped too! Diamond was the nail tech that helped gain my trust again, but she is no longer there. David became my next favorite nail tech and Jessica for pedicures, but Jessica is also no longer there. David is still there and on my visit today, he had a customer but I didn’t have time to wait. I was hesitant to try another nail tech but I took a chance and got Twan (hope I spelled his name right). Twan was great! He was fast too! I needed a fill and recolor, and as fast as he went, my nails turned out beautifully as if he took his time. AND he was done before my pedicure! I was impressed! I’m also very picky with the shaping of my nails and he shaped them just the way I like them. The pedicure tech was great too. (forgot to get his name). I’m so glad I have 2 favorite nail techs now! The only downside sometimes is techs leave, but this is expected. The MGR/Owner (omg I think his name is Ken?) and receptionist are very friendly and caring which is one of the reasons I remained as a customer.
