I have been a member of steppingstone for more than 4 years. The place is awesome, however today I had a little inconvenient with one of the managers her name is Carolyn. Today was my girl’s birthday therefore I started calling there since 9am nobody pickup the phone call, I left a message but not answer until 1:41pm. Therefore , I decided to visit the place to talk to a member of the staff. The guy who was in the front counter ( Sean) spoke to me and he told me that was ok to celebrate my girl birthday there . I asked him if I need a reservation but he told me that reservations were only for weekends during week they couldn’t reserve a table but I was allow to pick and use any table available once I come. Therefore, I went there with my girl and her friends that are also members. Once we settled there good birthday balloons , pizza and the kids the manager Carolyn stop there and told us that we were not allowed to do it. So I explained to her that she can speak to Sean and check cámaras that I spoke to him and he allowed me to do it. Otherwise , I could take the kids somewhere else. She trick us so bad , yelling at us. We had more than 5 kids and the birthday girl. She make us pop out the kids balloons and throw away her pizza . Moreover , she said that my girl couldn’t open her birthday presents there . She was very mean , rude and doesn’t know how to treat members and kids. She damaged my girl birthday and make the girl cry because she couldn’t celebrate her birthday with her little friends . She doesn’t deserve to be there neither to be a manager. I will attached her phone be...
Read moreOur kids always enjoy this museum. There’s a modest sized water play area (the energy lab) that you will want to visit last in case they get wet (also helpful to bring a change of clothes and shoes). Next to this is the under 36 months area for small kids that is endlessly entertaining for small kids with a bus, treehouse, slide, boat and more. There’s also an infant area in this space. These areas are next to the bathrooms and near the entrance.
On the other side of the cafe there’s several exhibits that sometimes change. Currently there’s a TV video area, giant light bright, construction, drums, emotions, a marble maze and a couple other things. Down the hall there’s a dinosaur exhibit with digging area and play nest along with animatronic dinosaur. Across from this there’s a space exhibit on Apollo. The last area is the media area with the touch floor, lights and sounds.
There’s a great room for parties and lots of outdoor areas as well (playground and a light maze right now). Near the entrance there’s a Rube Goldberg machine. They also have a teacher resource area by the entrance with lots to do. It’s open to the public many times when events aren’t happening.
The cafeteria tries to have healthy options with fruit, yogurt, and baked fries and breaded chicken. You can also bring your food.
There are fun little touches like a kid door at the entrance that...
Read moreThis place is amazing and we've become members here and got the membership that allows us to bring guests. Beats any other children's museum we've been to. Great for a wide range of ages. Tons and tons of activities. Sub areas where you can spend hours if your kid is interested in specific things. Exhibits are engaging and tons of fun. Science is encouraged, art, reading, pretend play all on hand. They do have some rotating exhibits too but after coming a bunch of times, I don't think we'll tire of anything anytime soon. As our kid grows, her interests keep changing and that keeps it fresh as well. The one-off visit is a little pricey, but doing a membership is a total slam dunk and very reasonable if you come back a few times. People are friendly and helpful. They do have a limited food service area and offer a good range of stuff, even if you kid has some allergies. You are also able to sit down with things you brought in so it's easy to supplement with what they have too. Laid back and fun. Good for different energy level family members. We love it and will keep...
