Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum

I’ll start with the positive. The mansion is beautiful, a fascinating piece of history in Norwalk. Our tour guide Carl was amazing. So knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. He made the tour even more interesting and was the best part of our experience.

Now for the bad. The gift shop attendent Ms. Morales was so rude and condescending. From the moment I arrived she ignored me when I greeted her. She absolutely heard me because she was looking right at me, turned and walked away looking very bothered. There was a misunderstanding with the promotion we participated in. She argued with us, was not kind, was very dismissive and even ignored our questions. We were only trying to understand how the miscommunication happened and she was not having it. It really ruined our experience especially after having such a good time during the tour. It ended things on a sour note. My friends and I would recommend the tour, but avoid the gift shop at all costs. She shouldn’t work with the public if she can’t be kind and helpful. Unfortunately I will not be back here again.
